Everyone loves to eat out. I mean why not? There is zero cleaning involved, someone is at your beck and call, and sometimes you can get leftovers out of it for another meal. But what people do not think about is the work that the servers and kitchen staff put in. Well mostly the unnecessary questions because customers did not read the menu or the rude remarks. So here are some things that grind servers' gears:
1. Customers thinking they know the food better than us.
"Can I have some meat sauce?” We bring the meat sauce. "This isn't meat sauce"
2. A customer not saying the order and just saying the chef knows them.
"Just tell the chef it's for Janice, he knows me"
Chef: "Who?"
3. Customers who ignore your introduction.
Server: “Hello, how are you? My name is Paulynn"
Customer: "Diet Coke"
4. Customers complaining about food being bad but still finishing it or boxing it up.
Server: "how was everything?"
Customer: "the sauce was bland and the pasta wasn't cooked, but can you box it?"
5. Customers that ask for condiments that are already on the table.
Customer: "Can I have butter?"
Server: "it's right there..."
