As I watch One Tree Hill for the second time, I am reminded of why I fell in love with this show. The friendships, hardships, and life lessons each taught me something important about my own life and the people in it.

If you’re a fan like me, then you will know why Brooke Davis is my favorite character. From being head cheerleader, class president, and finally owning her own clothing line, she has never backed down from a challenge. She is independent, strong, and a whole lot of sass! Throughout the series, we have seen her struggle with real-life problems that many of us face. A broken heart. Fights with your best friend. Not feeling like you’re enough.

I don’t know about you, but I can see a little bit of myself in her character. I am a sophomore in college and still find myself struggling with those same things. Not having a clue what to do when it comes to boys. Picking stupid fights with my friends and family. Never feeling good enough.

Brooke Davis is a reminder to me and every college girl that you are enough. Here are some of my favorite messages that B Davis shared that I've taken with me through college.

1. Never let a boy define you.

2. Never compromise your self-respect

3. It's okay to not be okay.

4. Friendships are worth fighting for.

5. Don't let labels define you.

6. Know your self-worth.

And, always remember...

7. You are enough.

So cheers to you, Brooke Davis.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
