You're sitting in a lecture hall. Take a look around. Glowing apples on the backside of bright screens that light up the entire room. Nearly every single college student (if not, all students) bring their laptops to class. Most of us have MacBook Pros or Airs. Some have Dell. Acer. HP.

You never really think about your laptop or other people's laptops, because you see them everyday. Take a minute and look at yours. What does it say about you?

I asked some college students how they think their uniquely designed laptops express who they are. Here's what they (and I) had to say:

1. Me (Ithaca College)

"I thought of the idea for this article because so many conversations have started in classes because of my stickers. People usually point out the SpongeBob ones, which leads to an in-depth conversation on how SpongeBob was the best kids show ever (not arguable). Or, I meet another runner through my track sticker. My elephant sticker on the top (the one most people usually pretend they don't see) actually helped me to meet other Republicans on my campus- who even knew there were any?! Just by taking a glance at my Mac, you can tell what my favorite movies, quotes, flowers, and president are! That's a lot of info on the face of one 13" MacBook Air!"

2. Hailey (Ithaca College)

"Stay weird: because I'm weird and need to be reminded it's ok!
Bazinga!: Sheldon says it only the Big Bang theory which is one of my favorite shows
NH 603: reminds me of my home state!
World: to remind me to travel
Ithaca college: it's a great day to be a Bomber!
Ducks: the are the best animals ever and I'm obsessed 🦆
We can do it: women are strong and powerful
XC: running is life! ICXC
Donut: random
Go take a hike: I love hiking and want to live in the woods."

3. Madison (Ithaca College)

"I think my stickers show people not only my different interests but that I'm kind of an outgoing and fun person."

4. Michelle (Villanova University)

"I have a lot of my stickers to represent things I'm involved in. I have a sticker for Blue Key Society (the tour guide group I'm in at Villanova), Chi Omega, and NOVAdance which is a 12-hour dance marathon that raises money for pediatric cancer. I also have some general ones for my school like a Villanova sticker, a VSB sticker since I'm in the business school, and a 175th anniversary sticker. I also have some of my interests on my Mac like skiing and SoulCycle as well as a GoPro sticker since I like photography. Lastly, I have a Long Island sticker to represent home and a breast cancer ribbon for my Aunt Winnie who battled breast cancer twice."

5. Emily (Rutgers University)

Simply put: "I like to travel, I go to Rutgers, and I like Disney."

6. Nicole (Villanova University)

"I have the stickers that I do because they each help represent my favorite things: my love for Taylor swift and her concerts (I've been to all of them), my love for London and everything British, and my love for dance and ballet. After we won the championship, I wanted to get a sticker to show that off because i love nova and nova basketball! I also went to Disney 4 times in about a year and 1/2 so I needed a sticker because it's been a big part of my life. The others are to represent my Long Island pride and then my dedication to service (APO)."

7. Sam (Bucknell University)

"I like that my stickers capture so many parts of who I am both very outwardly- I love Greys, Gilmore, DG, books, food, and female empowerment as well as more implicitly- they're all very pink which is very me, and they're all very wordy, which was unintentional but also very me!"

8. Mia (Ithaca College)

"The NASA one is because I'm in the physics department and space is really cool to me, it's also my first sticker on my laptop. The Decadent Saint, Holy Sit! sticker is from a friend in my department but he was helping advertise a family member's winery with it and he knows I love dogs and wine. The Fucking Famous sticker is because I say "fuck" a lot and I thought it was funny. And the Ithaca College Italian Club sticker is because I'm in IC Italian Club and I'm Italian so I like to show off that I'm a proud Italian!"

9. Zoë (Ithaca College)

"Not a ton, but I feel that they represent me pretty well. Firstly, I put the Ithaca College sticker on the day I committed to the college! The Planned Parenthood sticker is from the women's march, and I like having it on my laptop because I'm very passionate about women's rights and healthcare opportunities. Next, I went through a phase of being obsessed with Harry Potter (who didn't?) The owl sticker is from when the school was giving out mini Awake Bars, and let's be honest, owls are adorable. Lastly, the little glossier sticker is super cute and the company makes face wash I really like."

10. Julia (SUNY Oneonta)

"My favorite show is the office and parks and recreation so I wanted a funny Michael Scott or Leslie Knopf quote on it, also I go to Oneonta and wanted a sticker of that. And I like pizza and J-Law of course."

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
