The end of the semester means none other than the impending, stress-filled finals week. One bright side of this deep, dark time is that a month-long Christmas Break is to follow. Christmastime is one of the greatest times of the year, especially when you’re a broke college student like myself -- because it holds no school for a whole month, presents that you obviously would not be buying yourself, and plenty of rest and relaxation time after finals are over. I present to you a college kid's Christmas list, so you’ll know what to give your favorite 18 to 22-year-olds this holiday season.

1. Sleep.

Because I can’t remember the last time I got a good night’s sleep.

2. More than 24 hours in one day.

Too much to do, too little time.

3. An endless supply of Starbucks coffees.

Extraneous amounts of caffeine is the only thing that can get us through the day.

4. A 4.0 GPA.

5. An impressive, internship-filled resume.

This is something that is hard to achieve, yet highly desired.

6. A guaranteed job after college.

7. Free college tuition/no student loans.

With a Christmas gift of free tuition, all of our dreams would come true.

8. No more homework.

9. A free Netflix subscription.

Same goes with a free Spotify Premium subscription, Pandora subscription and any other essential sites.

10. Ear plugs.

For the nights when your roommate is just being so dang noisy and you’re trying to get your beauty rest.

11. Motivation.

12. Home-cooked meals.

Why didn’t I appreciate Mom’s homemade lasagna? It’s fair to say: “Don’t it always seem to go, that you don’t know what ya got til it’s gone.”

13. 100 pairs of sweatpants.

This has become the “college uniform.” Therefore, the more pairs of sweatpants you own, the less you have to do laundry. A win-win.

14. Free laundry service.

As previously mentioned, the less you have to do laundry, the happier you will be. A win-win.

15. The ability to bring the family pet to college.

Nothing would be better than being able to cuddle my dog after a long day of classes.

16. Lots and lots of money.

The urban legend is a myth. Money CAN buy happiness in a college student’s eyes.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
