What Are You Wearing To Football Games?

The newest controversial topic is what you wear to a football game. Let's stop right here and reflect on that statement. I just said, " The newest controversial topic is what you wear to a football game". I think I laughed the hardest when I read the articles and comments regarding this. Don't include everyone you see as a whole. For when you go to games, you are going to see things on people that make you question and you may even think you wouldn't wear that. However, don't classify the whole generation on a bunch of peoples decision.

Lets start with the tank tops, and shoulder exposure. We aren't in High School, and I'm allowed to display my shoulders without having a fear of distracting boys. Not to mention It is 90 degrees and if its an early game you are sitting in DIRECT sunlight. So my outfit choice for the first games are going to be different then the rest of the year. I can't help that I offended you because you saw my shoulders.

The bralette, or those lacy things that you deem inappropriate. It has became a trend, and yes we realize those are visible. I'm sorry that seeing the top of my strap against my neck is such an awful thing for you. While I'm offended watching "the girls" pop out of everyone else's outfit. So don't tell me my lace straps are a distraction. We aren't in a middle school. Surprise, That you can actually see the straps.

I agree that some people could use a couple of inches or two added on their hemlines. However, Do not include us as a whole regarding this issue. No matter what we are wearing, someone will find a way to push short to be even shorter. Even back in the 80's, people found a way to make their high waist-ed shorts, extremely short. Don't start including us as whole, when you include those Game Day Dresses.

As one of those you are automatically classifying into this group based on my age, I would like to remind you that we are not all the same. For all the people I know and myself we dress the way our mama's and grandma's taught us. So next time you want to discuss how the generation is appearing to you. Remember there are others out there in that generation that don't appreciate the assumptions. For I am there simply to watch football. So quit watching the people, and watch the players on the green running on the football field.

xoxoxo, The Girl that's trying to watch football, but can't over your snude comments.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
