During this holiday season, The Odyssey Online at ASU reporters want you to get to know us! Enjoy this holiday-themed post and learn what we are thankful for!
The two people closest to me are pictured above on either side. I met Lily Ruelas (left) when we were in seventh grade, and Eduardo Romero (right) when we were sophomores in high school. Throughout the years after we graduated from high school, it became hard to keep up with one another as many of our lives began to change. This is an unfortunate truth no one warns you about or prepares you for in high school. Although we all began separate journeys, I am incredibly thankful to have shared joy, laughter, and support among these two friends during my college years. They have been there for my moments of pure excitement and happiness and my days of feeling sunken in and immobile. I wouldn't be able to perform the same in anything I do if it weren't for these two. I am thankful for these lifelong friends. They are two of many I am grateful to call my community.
