As college students, we have a lot to be thankful for, and when we return home for the holiday, our relatives will most likely ask us what we are thankful for. The usual answer is family and friends, but let's be honest, there is a lot more we are thankful for that we leave out of the conversation at the dinner table. Here's a list of things we are all thankful for that we confess about at Friendsgiving and neglect to mention at Thanksgiving.
1. Chick Fil A
I mean come on, that's obviously number one
2. SEC Football & Game days
ROLL TIDE
3. Tailgates
Shoutout to the adults who provide free food and alcohol at their tents
4. Quick Grill
Always there for you at 2 a.m. when no one else is
5. Darties
Helping us pass the time until football season returns
6. Free food at the Ferg
Organizations really know how to get a big crowd at those information meetings
7. Money for "food" from parents
Who are we trying to fool? They know it's alcohol money.
8. Letters (checks) from Grandma
"I'm having a great semester, Grandma. Thanks for your well wishes and beer money!"
9. Dining Dollars
For when you spend Grandma's money at the bar instead of on food
10. "Class is canceled" emails
And then going back to sleep right after reading that email
11. Curves on test grades
Always thankful when we fail the test as a class, and the teacher has no choice but to give us a 10 point curve
12. Netflix
There for you at 2 a.m. when you forget to get Quick Grill before walking home and end up waiting for the Domino's delivery driver
13. Domino's delivery driver
They've seen all of us at our lowest points, whether it's at 1 a.m. Friday night or at 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon and they always wait no matter how long it takes for us to get to the door
14. Citgo Employees
Sure, they've seen all of us at our lowest points too, but unlike the Domino's delivery driver, they've also seen us at our peak when we are thriving and they never judge us or our poor decisions
15. Data Renewal Day
Everyone counts down the days until their data renews, and they can go back to avoiding awkward eye contact with people from their class by staring at their Twitter or snapchatting friends about how they are avoiding awkward eye contact
