History for most is something that people think belongs on a shelf where only people who wear reading glasses and have gray hairs look at. The idea of history, when said to someone is usually the idea that something happened in the past, not relevant to the world today and it has nothing to do with the future. Well, here is the part where I tell you that you are wrong. Naturally most people do not enjoy sitting in a classroom and listening to their teacher go on and on about this event or that event. Most people do not watch a historical documentary when they are bored and just looking for something to watch on tv. But what if I could tell you, you could learn history in a fun way? In a way that does not involve sitting in the classroom or even watching a documentary film. Do I have your attention now? You might not realize it but as you are sitting here reading this article that I wrote, you are making history. Sure it is not history that will be written in the history books or even talked about for centuries but it is still history. We make history everyday and most of the time people do not even realize they are doing it. Most people's history will not make into the history books nor will it be talked about by the future generations but it is still happening. The history we make today is what decides our future and how the world is affected. We say that the past has no connection to the present or even the future. That is wrong; the events from the past are a reflection of what is happening in the world. So I do not want to hear that history belongs on shelves being read by people with reading glasses (no offense to anybody who needs reading glasses because I for one am someone who needs glasses) and gray hairs. History is for all of us, the young, the old, teenagers and anybody else who wants to be part of this world. So, my friends, welcome to history.
