Welcome. You are at home now. These will be the walls you eat, sleep, and breath in over the next week or so. It is that time of the year again for college students. Its the time of year that everyone begins to break out, stress eat, and forget to shower. Break out your favorite pair of ripped sweat pants and hottest baseball cap. That time of year has come again. The time of year that students tend to break. Welcome to finals week.
Inside these walls which we call the library. We will laugh, cry, and die a little inside after each exam and project we complete. The library becomes a blessing and curse during finals. You have all these great opportunities to sit down and hammer out work. However, scattered throughout the library students will be finding every person, post, or piece of food to distract them.
You see many familiar faces around. Usually too many. They are your friends. They love you so much, that want to chat and share their struggles with you. At this time its not ok. You have to put your foot down. Know that school comes first and they will be your friend when the week is over. (If you survive of course.)
Have we even talked about food yet? Carbs anyone? Everyone needs some comfort food. All food is welcome, especially free food. Shout out to all the students offering up their meal plans to the poor majority of us. You are personally saving the college student population. No matter if it is bagels to pizza all food is welcome. The delivery man will for sure know where the library on campus is located after these couple of weeks.
We all work hard. Harder than we want to pull off the good grades. However, the interships, recognition, and horrific snap chat stories make it all so worth it.
