PSA: Beware Of The Girl With "Only Guy Friends"

We all know them. We all can not stand them. It is the girl who claims, "I just get along better with guys."

Unless your name is Jessica Day, live with three guys, and only have one girl friend who is a gorgeous model, I don't want to hear that line. This rare, but very apparent species exists, and we cannot stand to be around her.

We all know A Kristin Cavallari (moment of silence for The Hills) aka the girl we loathed even more than Heidi for six seasons. When she came on the show, shit literally hit the fan. She made Lauren's life a living hell, which essentially made our life a living hell (because #teamlaurenandstephen). This girl tried to play the cool tomboy I-don't-deal-with-drama persona, and yet she was always in the middle of everyone's business.

We all have our guy friends we go to when the going gets tough with our girls. Its nice to blow some steam and just chill with the guys every once in a while, to get away from cliquey girls and pointless drama. But there comes to be a point when we all need our girl friends. Girls who claim to hang out with only guys because its "less drama" are normally the reason that there is drama in the first place. Lets be real, all girls are bitches. If girls cannot handle her brand of bitchiness, that says something about this girl's character.

Typically, these girls seek male attention in order to push past their insecurities. When there are less girls to "compete" with, they feel better about themselves and are able to be more outgoing and enjoy being the center of attention because they feel as if there is no pressure without girls around.

Although we cringe every time we meet that girl who claims, "I just have a lot of guy friends because girls bring too much drama," just remember that although we roll our eyes at this girl, it may be because she is just insecure about herself, and that is her way of dealing with it. For the rest of us, grab a marg and hit the bars with your girls. Because when it comes down to it, boys drool and girls rule.

Lesson of the day: Be the Lauren of the world, not a Kristin.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
