Let’s face it. Although we all try to be good students and organize ourselves in the best way possible, we will fall fast and hard into the pit of procrastination. Even if it’s just for a day, or a couple of hours, we might as well embrace it and know that it is soon coming our way. Well, as a realist and a true embracer of this reality, I’ve come up with a few good things to do when you do decide to procrastinate. Hope they help!

1.Watch some Ted talks

When you find yourself just sitting down and not doing much, a good thing to turn to is working out. It can be something as simple as running. Working out will get you up and moving, and hopefully, wake you up.

3. Take a nice bubble bath

If you find yourself doing absolutely nothing while having 6 or 7 hours worth of material to study, you most likely need to freshen yourself up and decompress before doing so. Don’t lollygag or waste your time trying to figure it out-just jump right in and give yourself what you need. Hopefully, after doing so, you’ll be rejuvenated and ready to go.

4. Watch a good old movie

Sometimes, when you’ve been studying too much, you can almost feel like your entire life reminds you of school. Watching a lengthy, random movie that is completely unrelated to school can help distract you. Just remember to not go on a binging surge.

5. Hang out with some friends from school

There’s nothing better than being surrounded by people who completely understand you. Once you get together with a group of friends from school, you will all be complaining about essentially the same things and will want to altogether do away with it in some form or another. Make time to chill, but as soon as you’re done, get ready to jump back in the books. Happy studying!

Marching Through March

Some appreciation for the month of March.

I love the entire year. Well, for the most part. I'm not a big fan of Winter, but even then, every month has something that's pretty great. November? Thanksgiving. December? Winter Holidays. January? New Year's. February? Valentine's and Single Awareness Day. May? Existential dread during finals. But for me, March has always been my favorite month of the year, and for good reason.
