I'm telling you from experience that these three simple tips will do the trick and have you bounce back ready for the long week of studying for the long tests and endless homework that everyone enjoys...obviously.

1. Sweat it out

Small little fact: sweating does not rid your body of toxins. It's just a normal body function that helps cool your body temperature.

Go hit the gym- working out is very beneficial for helping your body to increase the breakdown and help release the toxins stored in your fat tissues.

Sauna- yes, when you're in a sauna, all you do is sit and sweat. But sweating does, in small but increasing amounts, help you get rid of xenobiotic- foreign compounds like plastics. It can also help eliminate hormones that are stored in your fat cells. (I recommend an infrared sauna.)

2. Hydrate, hydrate, and hydrate

Always make sure you drink fluids after a good workout or being in a hot sauna because the sweat pulls out the electrolytes and some of the minerals out of your body, so drinking plenty of fluids helps add back what you lost.

Lemon water- it's refreshing, it helps boost your metabolism, and if you drink hot lemon water, that helps with digestion.

Green tea- has antioxidants that help boost your immune system, and it flushes out your liver

3. Quick detoxing diet

The ultimate key to being healthy and losing weight is always what you eat.

Eat raw- raw veggies and fruits, fats including avocados, almonds, pecans, cashews, walnuts, coconut, even some seafood!

Cut down- on sugars, alcohol, sodas, chips, dairy products, and anything that makes your body bloat

There are lots of benefits of detoxing: increased energy, clearer skin, lower inflammation, better digestion, sleep better, and a clear mind= a happy mind.

I'll never forget the day that someone told me these words: "Madison, I think you're a good friend to everyone but yourself." I stood there completely in awe of that statement. Before that day, I never really thought about being a friend to myself, and at the time, I didn't really know what it meant. Now, I realize that you can't fully be there for other people unless you're there for yourself, too. You can't show up for others until you're willing to show up for yourself.

Here are five things everyone should learn in order to be a better friend to themselves. These steps are hard, but they're so worth it.

We all have a love hate relationship with winter, lets be real here. The snow makes people forget how to drive, its cold, the roads are bad, and chances are, you will be spending a lot more money than you do during the other months of the year. If you’re from the Midwest, it seems to be that winter lasts for what feels like forever. But despite the struggles that winter brings, there are so many things to love about it.

The Post Thanksgiving Panic And Anxiety

It happens to all of us, the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas the catch up with you.

Thanksgiving Break is most likely everyone’s favorite break during the fall semester. You get to go home and reminisce with all your high school friends. That diet you’ve been on for the past month goes out the window, and you get to eat until you put yourself into a food coma. There’s no rush on homework and you can just lie in bed and Netflix to your heart’s content. To me that sounds like an ideally wonderful break, and totally stress-free.
