"Riverdale" first premiered in Jan. 2017. The television series focuses on Archie Andrews (based off the Archie Comics) and his life in the small town of Riverdale. Other key characters include Betty, Veronica and Jughead. The first season of the show mainly focuses on the murder of Jason Blossom and discovering who did it and why. The whole town was shook up by the murder and their safe secure lives were messed with. The season itself plays out like a murder mystery going back and forth between who killed Jason. There are many things about this show that make it so interesting to watch.

The main plot of the show in itself is interesting enough to make you want to binge watch all the episodes. I know personally I was a little hesitant to watch the show because I don't do scary-intense shows, but "Riverdale" got me. Once you find out that the small town's world has been flipped upside down, you want to see how it plays out in the end. With the mystery of Jason's murder and unrequited love between Betty and the boy next door you can't help but root for every one of them. Even the new city girl, Veronica, who's just trying to make a good name for herself in Riverdale and shed her troubled past. Either way if you watch the first episode, you'll be hooked.

Judging by the gif above, you now know Cole Sprouse is one of the main characters in the series. If you weren't a fan of "The Suite Life of Zach and Cody," then I don't know what you were doing, but clearly Cole is amazing. Finding out he was even still acting was a surprise for me, but after watching in the show I've fallen in love with him all over again. Cole plays the part of Jughead an out of place kid whose dad is troubled and whose family has been apart for years. He struggles to fit in, but doesn't want to conform either which makes him even better. With his bad boy vibes, but his season one love, you can't help but root for Jughead's success in his Riverdale life. I must say he is definitely a reason to watch the show if not for the plot.

If the plot of the series and Cole Sprouse don't suit your fancy, then the rest of the characters have got to. My favorites are Archie and Veronica. With Archie's classic boy next door vibes and his classic looks, he's definitely a heartthrob of the series. Even his singing skills combined with his spot on the football team, he's like the Zac Efron of "Riverdale." Who doesn't love that? Then there's Veronica–the new girl–who right off the bat becomes friends with Betty and forms a name for herself other than what her dad's arrest put on her. She definitely has a rebel side, which I totally admire about her. Her straight forward demeanor and sassy attitude make for a great show.

Now, I know what you're thinking. You're really tempted to watch "Riverdale" right now, which you definitely should. You don't have to take my word for how great it is–see for yourself!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
