I want to travel. I want to see the world for what it is. I want to be one with Mother Nature and appreciate every force that the earth embodies. I want to hike up mountains and swim in every ocean. I want to spend my days getting lost in cities and meeting people who will change my life. I want to open my mind to the beliefs and thoughts of everyone around me. I want to become part of the world. I want to be one with the cities and the towns and the countries I visit.
Traveling creates a whole new world for you. Traveling is more than just a vacation with your family. Traveling is a lifestyle. Wanderlust, adventurer, explorer and traveler – all words that coincide. I want to take a train through Europe and end up sitting on a beach in Greece. I want to look up from my seat and smile as the salty wind flows through my hair and the waves slowly creep up on my feet. I want to wake up the next morning with no idea what the day will lead me to. I want to start each day off with a new adventure and not return home until the sunsets and the sky is full of stars.
I dream of seeing the sunset in every country from mountain-tops and bridges and buildings. I dream to one day return home to tell my family and friends the stories of my travels. I dream of one day returning home and my family and friends seeing how much I have grown. I want to travel to become the best me I can possibly be.
I want to try new foods and learn new cultures. My home is one small town and I want to make my home the world. I want to be able to talk about different countries like they are my home too. I want to be able to feel a connection to other cities and other beach towns because I immersed myself into the culture and the life of those city and townspeople for a week or two or three.
I want to spend a few years of my life not knowing what tomorrow will bring. Think of the excitement. Think of the adrenaline that comes with the unknown. I think that to become the best version of myself, I need to travel. Staying in one place, I don’t really learn anything new. I have a schedule and I stick to it. Nothing ever changes. I wake up in the morning, I eat breakfast, I go to class, I come home and eat lunch, I do homework, I work out, I eat dinner, I go to bed – tomorrow I will repeat it all. It’s repetitive, and it’s exhausting, and it’s boring. I want something new. I want an adventure.
It’s not time for my adventure yet. Not my true adventure. But the time will come, and I can’t wait for that day. I think about it constantly and I plan for it all of the time. I want to be ready as soon as I get the opportunity. I want to travel. I want to see the world. I want to find myself. I’m ready when the adventure presents itself. I’ll be waiting.
