Music: who doesn't love it? Walk across campus any day of the week and you'll likely discover that roughly half the students you come across have earbuds in and are jamming out to their favorite songs on their way to class. Here are some tunes that are perfect to make that walk a little more enjoyable!

1. "Easy Love" by Sigala.

This jam, which has a dance-music feel, was the first single to ever be put out by London-based artist Sigala, according to Genius. It's a fresh spin on Jackson 5's "ABC," and is easy to listen to, fun, and adds energy to your playlist. PERFECT for getting hyped up for your 8 am classes, which as everyone knows, are a ton of fun!!

2. "Hey Ya!" by OutKast.

I don't know about you, but listening to this song evokes memories of a fun night out with friends for me! Jam out to this one to beat the going-to-class blues. Not to mention this song has some super-famous lyrics in it, including "shake it like a polaroid picture," and "what's cooler than being cool?"

3. "Chelsea Dagger" by The Fratellis.

This band is amazing, and this is one of their best songs (in my humble opinion). It's been in a slew of movies and is also the Chicago Blackhawks goal song, so it has some pretty great credentials. The intro is catchy, and will for sure get you hyped up as you walk to class!

4. "Galway Girl" by Ed Sheeran.

He's outdone himself with his new album "Divide," and this is one of my favorite tracks on the album. The instrumental in the back is vaguely inspired by Irish music, and it's just a fantastic jam that tells an interesting story (as all of Sheeran's music does). Check it out.

5. "By Your Side" by Jonas Blue.

Another dance jam! This song not only has a super-cute theme to it, but it's also addictive. Listen to it once, and you won't be able to stop listening to it on loop until you reach the building your class is in.

6. "Water Under the Bridge" by Adele.

Adele is a musical genius; this is fact. This song is pretty neat because it has poignant lyrics that are sentimental but still has an upbeat feel to it. You've probably heard of it, but if you haven't, get your hands on this track pronto.

7. "In the Name of Love" by Martin Garrix.

Two words for this song: too cute. Not only is the idea behind the song pretty adorable (doing anything for the person you love), but catchy does not even begin to cover the lyrics.

8. "Seeing Stars" by Borns.

Borns is a hidden gem, and this song is one of his finest. Not only is it fun, full of energy, but it's guaranteed to make your walk to class feel shorter because you'll be so distracted singing along you won't even realize that you're heading to class!

9. "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls.

This one has a different feel than most of the other songs listed here, however, it's undoubtedly one of the most universally adored songs, so it totally deserves to be on this list. It's easy to listen to, has beautiful instrumentals in it, and sentimental lyrics that are moving for sure. It's the perfect addition to any playlist.

10. "Dreaming" by Smallpools.

This song...amazing! The Chainsmokers remix is amazing as well, but the original edit is just as great. Experiment to see which one fits your musical tastes more, but no matter which version you love, you'll find that this song is gold.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
