I Just Started 'Grey's Anatomy' And I Am Seriously Wondering Why I Waited So Gosh Darn Long

I finally gave in and now I can't get enough, so here's my tea time but written.

For the past two years, I have been pressured into watching 'Grey's Anatomy' on Netflix. My ex-best friend (... best friend at the time) would always call me crying, telling me how sad and crazy the show is and updated me on what's going on. I kept telling myself not to go down that route so that I wouldn't get sucked into the insane stories she would talk to me about because I didn't "have time" for crying and being hooked on a TV show! Other friends and the media would share how 'great' Meredith and Cristina's friendship was, or discuss the relationships that make/break it throughout the seasons, or even share videos that make them cry a river because they're "still sooo good".

I, like I said, am a sensitive soul. I also can never be a doctor or nurse… I. Do. Not. Do. Blood. I hate getting shots, I get very queasy when I see bloody injuries, etc…. Like really, I can barely take blood for my own benefit. So with all these reasons plus the simple fact that I don't watch/listen to anything when its being super hyped, due to the chance of having high hopes and being disappointed, I always take my time and go to it once I feel like I'm finally personally interested.

Now two years later, here I am finally starting the show and I. CAN'T. GET. ENOUGH. I try watching at least one episode a day. I know that seems off because when you are working full time (8am-6pm), seeing family, running errands, taking care of myself, being a pet mom, etc., you're beyond tired. But I will literally force myself to stay awake through at least an episode before finally falling asleep.

What I have fallen in love with so far is all the chisme (aka drama) going on within all the interns and doctors working in the hospital. It was crazy enough that the main character, Meredith, had a one night stand the day before her new first day being an intern at a hospital… only to find out that the guy she slept with is a doctor aka her boss at the hospital!! How wild! There's plenty of humor/pettiness in all the stuff that has gone on so far. Meredith and Cristina (one of the other interns), are super cute. They both are just very straightforward towards each other, don't judge each other's actions, and both support each other and put them in their place when it's needed.

I am currently halfway done with Season 2 of Grey's Anatomy and I'm losing my mind. Meredith and Derek drive me completely INSANE. I don't like Addison, Cristina needs to learn how to love Preston before it's too late and Alex really isn't all that cute even though he's supposed to be the 'cute intern' in the show. If you haven't watched this show… YOU BETTER START TODAY. TODAY! It's a crazy show with life lessons, real-world situations/surgeries that go on in hospitals, and more. You'll thank me later.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
