Well, it is that time of year again.
FALL.
The cold winds are blowing in, and the sweaters are coming out.
But, fear not, this will not to turn out to be a typical piece to express my love of the season. In fact, my favorite season changes so often, I don't think I could write one of those articles.
Instead, I wish to continue sharing my thoughts with my audience.
As the title more appropriately suggests, I will be discussing dancing or the art of body movement.
Dancing is something understood by everyone, however, not everyone dances the same.
Dance, good dance, dance that has you wanting more or has you feel some type of way comes from the heart of the performer/performers. Dance is an activity known to boost positive vibes and also act as an escape for the dancer or their audience.
Dancing for me is a part of who I am. It is and has always has been something I tend to do everyday of my life. In some way I do a little jig or put on a show, but no matter the occasion, my heart is with me in every step.
Most people dance to entertain, to capture the attention of an audience. To be fair, I tend to do the same most of the time I dance, but in reality, that's not my truest reason. It is not, with the help of my heart, a part of the drive that allows my creativity to soar.
That comes from the approach I take whenever I dance. I dance like NOBODY'S WATCHING. I don't worry about how someone may take my movements or if someone is mocking me or trying to join in. About 99.99 percent of the time I escape into my head and just allow my body to move with the music. I let myself get lost in the rhythm and beat. The lyrics can either add additional fuel to my inner fire, or they are just there to guide what movements I showcase.
Dancing without a care is the truest way to dance. At least, that's what I am going to believe.
So with the weather changing and more clothes being needed to survive, I will just have to plan accordingly in order to keep my feet movin' and groovin' either to my Spotify or the internal radio in my mind.
Who knows, next time you like a song, let yourself get lost in it and just imagine the dance moves that you will achieve!
Happy dancing!
