One of the great things about video games is the background music. You may be so deep into playing that you don't notice it, but it's there nevertheless.
The music that accompanies gaming needs to be low key enough to not draw your attention from the gameplay, but not so much so that it becomes boring and repetitive. If you don't know already, this sort of low-toned, flowing music, has a hidden ability: it helps you concentrate. Mostly on the game, but take it out of context, and you have a study playlist, sleep playlist, read a book playlist, or relax playlist.
That said, here are 11 gentle and moving pieces, featuring orchestral sounds, choral ensembles, and the euphonium (a brass instrument so beautiful, you could sneeze down it and still produce a good sound!)
11. Machinarium - The Glass House with Butterfly
10. Lineage II - The Call of Destiny
9. Assassin's Creed II - Ezio's Family
8. World of Warcraft - An Ode to One who had Fallen
7. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - The Streets of Whiterun
6. Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core - The Burdened
5. Destiny - All Ends are Beginnings
4. Civilization V: Brave New World - Dandolo Peace
3. Chrono Cross - Dream of the Shore Near Another World
2. Halo 3 - Never Forget
1. Guild Wars - Crystal Oasis
Let these be included in the tunes you listen to on a rainy day!
