Video Game Movies Coming Soon

Video Games have flourished by themselves ever since they were created. The evolution of game mechanics, graphics, and better stories have made the video game industry what it is today. The incorporation of movies based on video games has been a relatively new phenomenon. The first movie base off of a video game was "Super Mario Bros" which was not received well from fans.Later video game based movies include "Mortal Combat" and "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" which did get sequels later on, but of course did not do well like most video game movies do. The following movies are based off video games and will be releasing in the next few years. This is not an entire list of video game movies, so I have only included ones that have stood out and may be very successful.

Uncharted

Naughty Dog's "Uncharted" movie is currently in development. The studio itself is known to not be involved which has some fans worried about the movie adaptation. Shawn Levy, who is known for "Real Steel" and "Night at the Museum" will be directing the film. The writer who is developing the screenplay for the film is Joe Carnahan who has worked on movies such as "The Grey". With a script and a director, the movie is still early in pre-production and won't be seeing the big screen for a while. Until then, we can keep playing this epic series.

Tomb Raider

"Tomb Raider" is being revived in the movies just like it has been with the new video game series. The movie reboot will be based on the new video game series. The movie has already began filming and a few screenshots have been released of those. Lara Croft will be played by Alicia Vikander who has best known for her role in "Ex Machina". The movie is planned to release in 2018.

Gears of War

Coalition Studio happily announced that one of its biggest exclusive titles will be getting a movie adaptation in the near future. This new announcement came during their "Gears of War 4" launch live stream. No director, writer, cast or producers have been announced for the movie. Very little is known about the movie, only that it will follow the story of the first game in the series.

The Last of Us

"The Last of Us" is praised for its touching story and gameplay. The announcement of a sequel has only made fans even more hyped for the future of the series. When word came that Sony was working on a movie adaptation, many were excited to see the story morph into something more. Sadly for fans, word has it that the movie is in production hell and may never make it out. Hopefully, the sequel will have a successful launch and the movie will be pushed to get finished.

These are just some of the big video game movies in development that we will see in the near future. There is a much larger list that include "Call of Duty", "The Division", "God of War" and so many more. The above are some of the biggest and have the possibility of being the best video game movies yet.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
