This year, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show took place in the beautiful city of London. The models that took the stage are known to be "the most beautiful women in the world" and, although some may disagree, each model looked absolutely stunning.
The fashion show aired on CBS and this year, there were more models walking the runway than ever before. Those models included the extremely talented Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima, Doutzen Kroes, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Donaldson, Lindsay Ellingson, Martha Hunt and so many more gorgeous women. With those models in mind, the fashion show directors decided to include not four, not five, but six different themes. The introduction began with the "Gilded Angels" entrance and continued to impress viewers all night long. The other themes were "University of Pink," "Exotic Traveler," "Fairy Tale," "Dream Girl," and last but definitely not least, "Angel Ball." Each theme created a remarkable experience by using appropriate music, perfect backdrops, an illuminated stage, clearly gorgeous models and incredibly sexy attire.
Along with the sexy attire comes jaw-dropping Angel Wings. Victoria's Secret Angel Wings are an iconic part about being a VS model. Not only are they the most expensive part of each outfit, but they take over a year to make and perfect. The girls are known for "earning their wings" over time, so only the most experienced models get to wear the astonishing accessory.
As if the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show could get any better, they were able to book the current top four musical guests of the year. Taylor Swift performed her latest hit "Blank Space," which is still stuck in my head, and Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande and Hozier followed her performance throughout the show. Each of these artists are on the "Top Songs" list on iTunes, "Blank Space" coming in at number one.
Although the show is already beyond entertaining, the directors also included short clips of the models and the artists behind-the-scenes, which gave viewers a closer peek into the preparation of the event. In those shots, audience members got to learn about Russell James, the amazing VS photographer. His talent plus the beauty of the models equals perfection. Some of the other short, behind-the-scenes clips revealed secret friendships between Adriana and Alessandra, as well as information about the models' ballet backgrounds and more details on the families of the models who actually call the city of London their "home town."
Although there's always the controversy of the models not having the "average" female physique, the fashion show still holds the title of being "the sexiest night on television" and Victoria's Secret is by far the most popular lingerie line in America. As Taylor Swift would say "the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate" but the show must go on.
