This year, our favorite mouse is celebrating his 90th birthday. Mickey Mouse continues to touch the heart of many and shows no sign of stopping. In celebration of his big day, which is November 18th, Vans has created a magical collection for Mickey fans of all ages to enjoy and rock at the parks. This collection is not limited to just sneakers but features apparel and backpacks. However, in this piece, I will focus on the must-have sneakers. Here are my three must-have shoes from the collection that will make Disney bounding at the parks effortless.

1. Add subtle touches of your favorite mouse to any outfit with Vans Old Skool shoe.

Vans couldn't make a collection dedicated to our favorite mouse without going "old skool." These shoes possess subtle hints of Mickey Mouse by using his iconic colors and featuring his name (on the black shoe) or his glove (on the white shoe). These shoes will put the finishing touches on any outfit. From a spirit jersey to an outfit that consists of Mickey's signature colors, these shoes will look perfect and allow you to walk with the magic on your soles.

The classic "old skool" shoe by Vans is not the only classic gracing this magic-filled collection. Another shoe is bringing the dots and the puffy bow Mickey's cute companion is known for.

2. Level up your #MinnieStyle with the authentic gore.

Over the summer, Ciara dropped her new single "Level Up" teaching us all that we should reach for new heights. This includes your wardrobe. As a Walt Disney World local, I love seeing people rock their #MinnieStyle. The hashtag generates over 73,000 posts on Instagram alone and is a great source for inspiration on your next park outfit. The authentic gore shoe will not only bring the dots but the puffy bow that our girl Minnie is known for. If you love Minnie and her dots as much as I do, this is your shoe.

The collection between Disney and Vans have several Disney Style certified shoes to not only take your next park outfit to the next level of style but to a new level of comfort. Who says you can't be cute and comfortable at your favorite Disney park?

3. The classic slip-on in checkered print with a mouse twist will bring the magic to any outfit.

Every park visit for me doesn't always consist of workout shorts and a t-shirt. Sometimes I like to level up my relaxed look to everyday casual chic. These cute classic slip-on checkered Vans are a must with jeans skirts and shorts. The shoes would always go perfectly with a cute t-shirt dress. These shoes bring a perfect hint of Mickey magic to any causal park day outfit.

All the shoes in this collection are park hopper friendly. It doesn't matter if you're escaping the Yeti on Expedition Everest or riding the wildest ride in the wilderness, your feet will thank you later after a long day at the parks.

Since dropping on October 5th, many of the sneakers from the collab between Vans and Disney have sold out in stores and online. If you're lucky enough to get your hands on any of the EAR-resistible footwear in this collection, comment how you're styling it.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
