3 Of The Best Hidden Study Spots At The University Of Arizona

In This Article:

One thing I know to be true when you are a college student is how important it is to have multiple different studying spots you know you can focus at! Once you are at one spot for too long, you can often get to the point where your brain feels like it has stopped working and you reach a standstill. I often find that having fresh air and a quiet place can be the perfect recipe for some productive studying!

1: 8th Floor of The Optical Sciences Building

Located near the Main Library, the Optical Sciences building is by far one of the architectural beauties of this campus. The reflection of the strong Arizona sun on the copper paneling of the building is one of the most amazing things to witness when you are on campus. The rippling effect created by the glass window panes on the exterior of the building provide both a soothing and inviting effect. Once you enter the building on the ground floor and make your way up to the 8th floor, the modern architecture in comparison to the colonial feel that most buildings on campus have will take you aback. The unique part of this study space is that it has options for both an indoor study area as well as an outdoor study area. The indoor one has large tables perfect for group work or individual study overlooking our beautiful campus from a high vantage point. The outside study area is my personal favorite spot on the entire campus; quiet, outdoors, with a beautiful view. It is the perfect escape from the outside world while still feeling like you are not completely secluded either.

2: Highland Bowl

Located in the Highland District of the U of A, this adorable patch of grass located near Highland Market and Campus Health is the perfect place for a study session, picnic, or just break from the everyday chaos that is college. One of my personal favorite activities to do is to Tapingo my favorite meal from Highland Market, grab a blanket, and have my own picnic study session either by myself or with a friend! I try not to ever invite more than one person because I personally get easily distracted and the whole point of this escape is to get stuff done! So sit back, relax, and get productive!

3: Slot Canyon Café At ENR2

Slot Canyon Café is one of the cutest places to grab a bite to eat while studying or even just for a quick study break! Its spacious design inside by far THE most beautiful building on campus has just the perfect feel to inspire you to get any work you need to done. With seating options both outside and inside, this café is a perfect place to just find some peace and get right to work!!

Remember, studying is such a big and important part of life as a college student, but your room or the library doesn't have to be the only place you study! With a campus so large, there are so many different places that allow you to change up your space while still being productive. So sit back, grab a snack, and get studying!!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
