If you're anything like me, you're constantly turning to the person next to you and saying "caption this" when posting pictures. Fortunately for us, the internet is full of options. Unfortunately for us, they all seem to have been used pretty frequently by our friends. Here are 10 non-mainstream captions that'll restore faith in your captioning game.
1. "Back to the street, down to our feet, losing the feeling of feeling unique."
You may or may not remember this one from your Panic! At The Disco phase, but it definitely makes a good caption for a weird or candid photo with some pals.
2. "She was saying goodbye and she didn't even know it."
While this one might be a little harder to use, there's something irresistably beautiful and poetic about this line from "The Book Thief."
3. "She had a lively, playful disposition, which delighted in anything ridiculous."
This lesser-known Jane Austen quote is perfect for a fun selfie or a candid laughing shot.
4. "Time will explain."
Another kind of obscure Jane Austen quote, this one would be great for a moody selfie or maybe a rainy nature picture.
5. "But I must admit I miss you terrible. The world is too quiet without you nearby."
Another sad one, this time from Lemony Snicket, that would be really good for a long-distance relationship picture, a picture with a loved one who has died, or just someone you miss in general.
6. "You're the only person I've ever met who seems to have the faintest conception of what I mean when I say a thing."
The next time you post a picture featuring that one person who just really gets you, you can thank Virginia Woolf for having a good caption for it.
7. "Choose joy"
Simple, sweet, and able to be put with almost any picture.
8. "Our family must be God's favorite sitcom."
If your family is anything like mine, then this needs no explaining.
9. "Sail on, Silver Girl. Sail on by; your time has come to shine, all your dreams are memories."
A lyric from Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water," this quote is 100% girl power all the way.
10. Puns
Sorry that this one isn't a quote or a specific line you should use, but in my experience puns and wordplay make for the best captions.
So go off and do cool stuff so you can take pictures and post them with cool captions.
