You should travel.
Most people probably don't need much of an explanation for this statement, but I'm going to expand on it anyway. For those who may not find the idea of traveling as having more than the simple benefit of relaxing every once in a while, I need you to listen. Traveling isn't just a trip to the beach. It's going beyond what you know to experience something you've never experienced before. You need to understand that traveling is important and that there is a meaning behind every exploration you go on. There is so much more to life than our own backyard, neighborhood, and community. There is so much history, culture, and background in other places. There is so much to learn and so much to do. So:
You should travel.
Why? Because traveling allows you to gain perspective. Do you know how much knowledge, experience, and excitement is out there just waiting for you to discover it? The world is full of things you've never seen before. It's full of things we probably could never even imagine trying to comprehend. Different places tell us different stories. Different experiences mold our character and change our outlook on the world. We may have a standpoint on a certain subject one day and then go somewhere else and completely change our point of view. Why? Because that's the type of impact new places and new people can have on you. Experiences change people. People change people. Get out there.
You should travel.
Why? Because you learn to have a greater sense of appreciation for all things. I'll be the first one to say I take advantage of what I have on a daily basis. Do I mean to? Of course not. Yet, I do it. Not to be mean or to be selfish, but because there are so many day-to-day "luxuries" that you and I have, that I personally tend to overlook how lucky I am. There are many people in this world who don't have access to things we think we can't live without. There are people who don't even have the basic necessities to survive. Traveling inspires this realization within us. It reminds us that we are lucky to wake up every morning and have the things that we have --whether that be family, friends, material goods, or values. We are lucky. Remember that.
You should travel.
Why? Because traveling can prompt us to take action against injustice. The more we see firsthand, the harder it is to mask the lies or belief that everyone around us is doing perfectly fine. Sometimes it's hard to admit that our own world is flawed, but if we take the time to acknowledge those problems and learn about them, we can do our best to speak out against them. We can help one another and better the lives of all. As I mentioned before, people change people. We have the power to spark a change. We should do everything in our power to do that. Don't believe me? Well:
You should travel.
Why? Because you'll learn that differences are what make our world unique. We all have different values, customs, races, religions, ethics, nationalities, etc. We should embrace one another for these differences and take the time to learn about them. By traveling, we have the opportunity to get to know one another. We have the opportunity to see what different people stand for and what different people believe in. Those differences should unite us, because they give us insight into the beauty of diversity and acceptance. Never be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Try something new. Experience everything our world has to offer.
You should travel.
Why? Because you'll learn something. You'll learn something about yourself, about humanity, about nature, about history, and about the world. You'll discover all sorts of secrets. You'll take on so many points of view. Start saving money now and get ready to take on the world. I promise, it will be completely worth it.
