My favorite country band is Florida Georgia Line. Even though they do not have the country sound that many believe that they should have, I find their music really fun to jam out to, regardless of my mood. Tyler Hubbard's leading vocals give the perfect mix of southern twang and rock 'n' roll charm. Perhaps you've heard their most famous song “Cruise”, which destroyed country record holders that went back decades. However, the beauty of this dynamic duo isn’t “Cruise” for me. It’s all of the hidden gems on albums like “Anything Goes” and “Dig Your Roots” that make their music so special. Here is some of their most underrated songs that I feel like any fan, or even occasional listener, should know about.

1.“Smile”

“Smile” was track four on “Anything Goes”, and for some reason I never heard ANYONE talk about the beauty of this song. This is a track that just makes you feel good. I find myself resorting to this tune whenever I am feeling down and need a pick-me-up, or when I am absolutely jubilant and just want to sing along to something fast with my windows down. This is a great gem that I’m surprised that no one talks about, since I personally feel this song is really something special.

2.“Every Night”

I listen to this track as much as I do “Smile”. This was the last track on “Anything Goes”, and it’s a great song to put on your playlist for pumping yourself up before a night out. It’s a total party hit, and I find that I can’t stop smiling when I listen to it because it just reminds me of good times, both past and to come. It’s really great when I find a song that makes me want to just throw myself into the moment of having fun and enjoying life, and this does that for me.

3.“Wish You Were On It”

This track premiered on “Dig Your Roots”, and I’ll admit it, at first I did not like this song. However, it grew on me, and now it has become one of my favorites that they have released. This gives me “Take It Out On Me” vibes, and I find the mix of slow and fast paced beats gives this song such a unique sound from anything they have put out so far. Plus, you can feel the passion behind the lyrics, and I think that when you can truly feel emotion behind lyrics in a song, it’s a special one. The chorus is intense; I get chills every time.

4.“Life Is A Honeymoon”

When a song references artists like Bob Marley and Jimi Hendrix, it can go one of two ways. Luckily, the references to them make you feel good in this, as this entire song is about having a good time and feeling like Marley and Hendrix are still here. This is probably one of the most typical lyric songs they have written; unlike the other selections, there isn’t any lines that make me drop my jaw in amazement at how well they were written. However, I love the overall feeling of this song and it’s a great pick-me-up or party song when you just want to have a good time.

And of course, some honorable (and well known), mentions:

1.“Dirt”

My all-time favorite song, so there isn’t much I need to say. This was a very popular hit for them, but it hits something deep. I couldn’t not mention it.

2.“May We All”

My favorite song on “Dig Your Roots”. My next tattoo will have a line from this song, because I find it such a powerful reminder that life is so much more than materialistic goods and trying to keep up with fads. In their words;

You learn to fly, and if you can’t, then you just free fall.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
