Everyone loves a good Christmas movies, especially the classics. During this time of the year, movies that involve the holidays are one every TV channel you can think of. Popular movies such as "Elf" and "Its A Wonderful Life", but what about those movies that aren't always so popular, but should be? Here is a list of underrated Christmas movies.

The Ref

In this 1994 film, a cat burglar gets abandoned by his partner in the middle of a heist. He is then forced to take an obnoxious couple hostage. During their ransom, the burglar finds out he has his hands full. The married couple fights over everything, and the burglar ends up becoming their "referee", and helping the couple with their marriage problems. This movie is filled with comedic scenes, and Kevin Spacey plays in it, need I say more?

I'll Be Home For Christmas

Filmed in 1998, this film stars Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Jessica Biel. Thomas is an 18-year old college student who is bribed by a Porsche to come home for Christmas Eve by his dad. Thomas trades his New York plane tickets for him and his girlfriend (Biel) to go to Mexico instead. During his adventure he ends up getting stranded in the California desert while his arch nemesis takes his girlfriend away from him. Eventually he ends up travelling across the country with a thief and finding himself in countless times of trouble.

A Mom For Christmas

Based on a book, this movie first aired on December 17, 1990. This movie is about a little girl who's single father spends more time working than focusing on her. So, the little girl ends up wishing for a mom for Christmas and a department store mannequin is brought to life. This mannequin will be the girl's mother, but on Christmas Eve the mannequin stops being real. The dad ends up developing a crush on the mannequin, and the movie revolves around the little girl wanting the mannequin to be real forever.

Nestor, The Long-Eared Christmas Donkey

Most of us are used to seeing "Santa Clause Is Coming To Town" and "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" on ABC during the holidays, but Nestor is another stop-motion film that is Christmas themed. This 1977 film is about a donkey who lived in the Roman Empire. Roman soldiers come to the stable where Nestor lives and throw Nestor out in the snow to die. Nestor ends up becoming the donkey that Mary and Joseph use to take baby Jesus to the stable to be born.

Unaccompanied Minors

Personally, this move is one of my Christmas favorites. Every time someone asks me what my favorite Christmas movie is, this movie is my reply, and many people have never heard of it. Released in 2006, this movie follows the children of divorced parents on their journey as unaccompanied minors in the airport. The kids end up having a layover, where they are placed in a room with other unaccompanied minors. This movie follows the adventures of a group of six kids as they run around an airport trying to get home for the holidays, This movie stars some well-known celebrities, such as Wilmer Valderrama, Tyler James Williams, and Lewis Black.

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
