A few weeks ago, I dedicated an underappreciated Pretty Woman quotes piece, however this time I'd like to dedicate it to all movies. Many powerful memorabilia comes out of the strong script authors in the film industry, here's just a few underappreciated ones:
Starting with number 1: Robin Williams, Dead Poet's Society
"So avoid using the word very because it's lazy. A man is not very tired, he is exhausted. Don't use very sad, use morose. Language was invented for one reason boys - to woo women - and in that endeavor. laziness will not do".
Number 2: Helena Bonham Carter, Fight Club
"Condom is the glass slipper of our generation. You slip one on when you meet a stranger. You dance all night... then you throw it away. The condom, I mean, not the stranger".
Number 3: Geoffrey Rush, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
"Think you can outrun the world? You know the problem with being the last of anything, by and by there be none left at all."
Number 4: J.K. Simmons, Juno
"Look, in my opinion, the best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you, the right person is still going to think the sun shines out your ass. That's the kind of person that's worth sticking with."
Number 5: Abbie Cornish, Sucker Punch
Everyone has an Angel. A Guardian who watches over us. We can't know what form they'll take. One day, old man. Next day, little girl. But don't let appearances fool you, they can be as fierce as any dragon. Yet they're not here to fight our battles, but to whisper from our heart. Reminding that it's us. Its everyone of us who holds power over the world we create.
Number 6: Abbie Cornish, Sucker Punch
Who honors those we love for the very life we live? Who sends monsters to kill us, and at the same time sings that we will never die? Who teaches us what's real and how to laugh at lies? Who decides why we live and what we'll die to defend? Who chains us? And who holds the key that can set us free... It's you. You have all the weapons you need. Now fight!
Number 7: Chloe Grace Moretz, Hick
"You could grab the past and drag it with you like a bag of rocks. You can grab that new diet with grape fruits, and a brand new exerciser, and maybe that new washer-dryer set. You can grab and grab and grab, 'til your fists turn green. You can grab everything you ever wanted. Shake it. Try to make it go boom. Yeah, you can never ever grab enough. Pop!"
Number 8: Denzel Washington, The Equalizer
"Man gotta be the man, fish gotta be the fish. You gotta be who you are in this world, no matter what."
Number 9: Alison Lohman, Flicka
"I believe there is a force in this world that lives beneath the surface, something primitive and wild that awakens when you need an extra push just to survive, like wildflowers that bloom after a fire turns the forest black. Most people are afraid of it and keep it buried deep inside themselves. But there will always be a few people who have the courage to love what is untamed inside us."
Number 10: Jennifer Grey, Dirty Dancing
"I'm scared of everything. I'm scared of what I saw, I'm scared of what I did, of who I am, and most of all I'm scared of walking out of this room and never feeling the rest of my whole life the way I feel when I'm with you."
