As school rolls around quite quickly, I, with a little help from my friends, have compiled a list of things you may need moving into school. It is a long list, but I promise everything has a use.
- Jackets/ belt- It may be August, and it may be hot, but bring a jacket or two in case you go somewhere it gets cold, or if it gets cold at night.
- Playing cards- A great way to pass the time, and a great way to socialize with a group of people!
- Duffle bag- weekend trips home, or to a friend’s house, this will be super handy when you are sleeping somewhere besides your own room
- Hangers- Do I even need to go over this?
- Lint roller- Nothing is peskier than fuzz all over the black clothes you wear for work
- Sewing kit- If you get a hole in anything, you mom won't always be able to sew it for you
- Laundry bag- Self explanatory
- Umbrella- I don't know about you, but I would like to stay dry on my way to class
- Insurance+ss cards- Often times you need them, job applications, heal issue, etc.
- Combo lock/gym bag- you never know when these will come in handy
- Laundry detergent/dryer sheets- unless you are planning on not doing laundry...
- Air freshener- don't have the stinky room in your building
- Gallon Ziploc’s- for storage, travel, and many needs
- USB drive/laptop- unless you plan on always finding a seat at the tech center... Which will be nearly impossible
- Batteries- flashlight die? Batteries.
- Soap- does this even need to be explained
- Nail clippers/file/q-tips/cotton balls razors mouthwash/toothpaste/toothbrush/tweezers- basic needs
- Deodorant/shampoo/conditioner- just as important as soap
- Brush/comb- keep your hairs beautiful
- Tissues- have a cold? Keep your germs contained
- Door stop- keep your door open while unpacking, it makes you approachable and it's easier to bring things in and out
- Surge protector- usually required for extra outlets
- Message board- for you door so people can leave notes and know it's you room
- 3-hole punch/binders/Stapler/staples/ scissors/highlighters/pencils/pens/sharpies glue/tape- basic school needs
- Small tool set- ya never know when you will have to fix something
- Shower flops- because showers are gross
- Command strips- to hang things
- Medical supplies-just in case
- Lap desk- usually a nice thing to have
- TV/DVD player- nice for nights in and rainy weekends
- Lamp+bulbs- extra light is a nice thing
- Photos- a little bit of home to make your room more you
- Small garbage pail- much needed
- Cleaning supplies- don't be dirty
