30 Fall Bucket List Items To Cross Off BEFORE November 30th

In This Article:

Fall is a wonderful time of year where the weather is nice, the flavors are nicer, and there are plenty of fun seasonal things to do. This fall, make sure you hit up all the fun things to do while they're still here. Check off every item on this bucket list!

1. Jump into a leaf pile

Jumping into leaf piles are classic childhood fun and can be even more fun and extreme if you get a large group together to really cook up something good.

2. Go to a haunted house

Use this website to find a haunted house near you.

3. Go to a corn maze

4. Get a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks

5. ... Or the superior iced pumpkin spice chai latte for you non-coffee drinkers

6. Drink apple cider and eat donuts

7. Get an apple cider slushie

My local apple orchard has these and they are by far the best things about fall.

8. Consume some of the best cereal in the world: Booberry, Frankenberry, and Count Chocula.

9. Go to a Halloween party

If you don't get invited to one, throw your own and invite all the non-fakes that would've invited you to their Halloween party.

10. Buy and wear spooky socks

Target has some cheap spooky socks.

11. Listen to "This is Halloween"

Listen to the Panic! At The Disco version if you don't hate yourself, and any other version if you do.

12. Go on a hayride

13. Go to a pumpkin patch and pick a pumpkin

14. Carve pumpkins

15. Eat tons of pumpkin seeds

16. Have a scary movie marathon

17. Stay in and cuddle.

18. Find a really cute sweater and enjoy the sweater weather while it lasts

I'm not a sweater person, but I found some super cute and cozy sweaters at Kohls this year!

19. Enjoy salted caramel flavors

It's undeniable that THE fall flavor is pumpkin spice, but salted caramel is a notable mention. Salted caramel everything seems to emerge right along with pumpkin spice.

20. Go to a bonfire

21. Eat fat stacks of the best food ever on Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving food is second only to St. Patrick's Day food. Eat up!

22. Sit by the window with a hot cup of coffee or tea

23. Listen to "Monster Mash"

Listen to this BOP here.

24. Watch all of the 'Halloweentown' movies

25. Listen to "Spooky Scary Skeletons"

Listen to this song here.

26. Go to a football game

Gotta appreciate those FNL while they're still around.

27. Eat ALL the Halloween candy

When candy is sold in bulk, thou must buy it in bulk. It's the eleventh commandment.

28. Chill in your room under a big blanket with the windows open and fall air flooding in

29. Decorate your room/apartment/house with ALL of the spooky decor

30. Watch 'Hocus Pocus'

This is, and always will be, the best Halloween movie in existence. Enjoy it while the season is right.

Happy fall!

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.
