Because no one likes being sad

The Ultimate Break-Up Playlist

One of the roughest things any human can experience is a break-up. From going and being head-over-heels in love with someone to it all ending so fast can be extremely life-changing and can take its toll on you. But, to cure a sad mood for maybe a couple minutes, a couple hours, or maybe even forever, music can help. So, to anyone reading with a broken heart and depressed mood, I created this 15-song playlist for you and I want you to remember I love you.

P.S. They didn’t even deserve you anyway, pfft.

1. Happy - Pharrell Williams

I know what you're thinking, this song is really cheesy, but also has a very catchy beat that can lift the spirits. If anything, the song itself is called happy... how else should it make you feel? While this may have been annoying or overplayed, depending on your preference, Happy can make you feel... well, it might seem crazy what I'm about to say, but... HAPPY!

2. Fighter - Christina Aguilera

There is nothing more empowering than hearing Christina Aguilera perfectly sing out how you feel if your ex turned out to be not who you thought they were. Because even if they did turn out to be a jerk, they taught you how to be a fighter. So thanks for making me a fighter!

3. Love The Way You Lie - Eminem ft. Rihanna

Because finding out the person you gave your all to is a liar is rough, so Eminem and Rihanna are here for you... in two different versions of the song!

4. Irreplaceable - Beyoncé

Because Beyoncé always knows what to say and whoever they were, they aren't the only person who will ever love you. Don't sweat it, Mr. or Ms. Right will show up soon enough! Now, to the left, to the left!

5. We Are Never Getting Back Together - Taylor Swift

Taylor is the QUEEN of break-up songs, so to no surprise, she'll show up more than once on this list. But just know you don't ever need to take back anyone who treated you wrong. Cause you are never getting back together... like ever.

6. I Heard It Through The Grapevine - Marvin Gaye

This song is a classic! Why would you not want to jam to this to make yourself feel better? Because guys get heartbroken too and sometimes, unfortunately, people find out about problems in relationships through the grapevine.

7. Apologize - Timbaland ft. OneRepublic

When your ex finds out they made a huge mistake letting you go and comes back apologizing and begging, this song can be the theme song of your life.

8. Cry Me A River - Justin Timberlake

Following the theme of your ex realizing they messed up, this #JTThrowback will definitely hit you right in the feels.

9. Fight Song - Rachel Platten

It's time to take your life back! You may be upset from the break up, but you definitely still got a lot of fight left in you!

10. Here Comes Goodbye - Rascal Flatts

I'll give it to you, sometimes after a break-up you need a good cry, and a song in the background while you do it. Here is the perfect song to be the background music to your cry session.

11. Since U Been Gone - Kelly Clarkson

Because soon, you'll understand your life will be better without them anyway.

12. Miss Movin' On - Fifth Harmony

Because after a while it's time to get up and get back out there. Broken hearts aren't permanent. Mr. Right is out there waiting for you.

13. Single Ladies - Beyoncé

It's not a bad thing to be single, embrace it!

14. Picture To Burn - Taylor Swift

Because exes suck, as far as Taylor and I are concerned they're just another picture to burn!

15. Bye Bye Bye - 'N Sync

Saying goodbye could be the smartest move you have ever made.

"I don't wanna be your fool in this game for two, so I'm leaving you behind."

Break-ups aren't easy, but eventually your heart will mend and you will find love again.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
