5 Different Types Of Tea To Fit Your Mood

I am a tea drinker. As I have gone through college I have consumed more and more tea, up to three cups daily. You may think this is insignificant, or just personal preference, but I have found that different types of tea correlate with my mood, and make me happier and more relaxed in the long run. So here are the different types of tea that I have found to fit your mood.

1. Earl Grey.

Early Grey Tea is perfect for late night studying. Feeling the burn during finals? Get yourself a nice cup of Earl Grey with some cream and honey. It’s slightly caffeinated so you’ll be more focused as you finish your last term paper, but it also has a little bit of warm spice to relax you (and maybe make you feel a bit more British.)

2. Jasmine green.

Jasmine tea is soothing and if you add a little honey, it’s perfect for any time of day. To me, Jasmine tea is a happy sort of tea. It’s perfect for relaxing, studying, a girls night in or to take on your early morning commute to class. A great bonus is that it’s also good cold, so you don’t have to drink it right away.

3. Raspberry herbal.

Feeling summery? Raspberry Herbal tea is the perfect summer evening drink. Just get a mug, sit back, relax and enjoy this sweet, yet slightly bitter tea. Herbal teas are great because they aren’t caffeinated so you can have them at any time of day, morning or night.

4. Vanilla honey chamomile.

This chamomile tea is perfect if you are feeling sad or cannot sleep. It’s naturally sweet and it’s almost floral taste will calm you down and help you to clear your mind and relax. A cup before bed is perfect on those nights that you can’t quite turn your brain off.

5. Irish breakfast.

Need a pick me up in the morning, but coffee just isn’t your thing? Irish Breakfast tea is caffeinated, earthly and lovely with a splash of cream and honey. The name breakfast is in the title for a reason, this is the perfect pick me up before the final or last page of that paper.

“I say let the world go to hell, but I should always have my tea.” Fyodor Dostoevsky, "Notes from the Underground."

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
