I have been an avid coffee lover for years. This past summer, I took a step and starting up a coffee blog this past July. After a few months, I have created a list of my top five favorite coffee shops to grab a latte at in the Twin Cities. Check them out below and give them a try during the upcoming cold winter!

1. Spyhouse Coffee Roasters

2. Cafe Astoria

Cafe Astoria, located in St. Paul, is probably the most "artsy" coffee shop I have ever stepped foot into. Yes, it has an adorable layout, but their drinks are beautiful! Pictured above is the 24K latte which is not only super "Insta-worthy" but delicious! They have many other beautiful drinks, but this one has to be my favorite.

3. Urban Bean Coffee

Urban Bean has two locations in Minneapolis, MN. Both of them are very aesthetically pleasing and of course, have delicious coffee. I usually stick to a vanilla latte (pictured above) when I come here because it is to die for! Also, their latte art is always so clean and beautiful!

4. Anelace Coffee

Anelace Coffee is located in Northeast Minneapolis. It is super cute inside and has some plants and fun books to look at. The seating is also nice because it is a long black bench that goes down the wall in the shop. It also is a great place to get some homework done because it isn't ever too loud and there are many outlets.

I have noticed that Anelace has seasonal drinks and I am always a little nervous to try one because they are sometimes a bit out there, but I promise they all end up being super delicious!

5. Claddagh Coffee

I discovered Claddagh Coffee in Saint Paul on a lunch break this past summer. The shop has a super cute Irish vibe to it, and the coffee is, of course, great as well. When I go to Clauddagh Coffee, I usually get their specialty drink called the "Salty Dog" which is made with espresso, caramel, chocolate, sea salt, and steamed milk. It is such a great afternoon treat!

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
