True life: I'm obsessed with Lularoe
Mullica Hill Mom

You’ve likely heard of the latest fashion trend taking over your Facebook newsfeed: Lularoe. Known for their “buttery soft” clothing, this company makes clothes for men, women, and children. They have all you’d need to complete an outfit; from maxi skirts to their famous leggings to children’s dress and men’s t-shirts. I cannot say enough how comfortable, cozy, and oh so soft all of their clothes are! I started with a pair of hunter green leggings, and now half of my wardrobe consists of Lularoe. Trust me- it becomes an obsession.

Started by a once single mother of seven, Lularoe is owned by husband and wife, Mark and DeAnne. DeAnne always dreamed of starting a business to support her large family and with great perseverance, Lularoe was born. The company started with a few basic pieces and has since expanded to include thousands of consultants. One unique aspect of Lularoe is that their pieces are not sold online. Consultants buy into the business and sell their items in Facebook groups. In order to purchase from them, you must join the group and wait for the consultant to mail you your goodies! What’s even more unique is that each consult has a different stock from one another. A piece you might find in one group may very well be the only of its kind that was made.

Lularoe is known for their spunky and fresh patterns, along with their choice of a range of solid colors. A limited amount of each pattern is created which makes all of the clothes simply one of a kind. As far as prices go, the clothes are reasonably priced with leggings costing $25 to dresses priced around $50. Women sizes range from XXS-3XL, men’s M-2XL, and children’s from toddlers to tweens. Let me tell you this will be the greatest purchase you will ever invest in. You can tell yourself you’ll only buy one item, but as soon as you put it on and discover all the new patterns, you won’t be able to stop yourself from shopping.

While Lularoe is one large business, each consultant receives their own profits from items sold in their group. Essentially, you’re supporting small businesses. Consultants increase the number of shoppers they have by having friends host “parties”. These can either be pop-up boutiques or online groups where you invite your friends to shop! In fact, I’m hosting my first party in August! The upfront cost to become a consultant is not cheap, but hosting a party is a free and fun way to be involved with such a wonderful company!

I cannot forget to mention the sacred unicorn. For Lularoe, a unicorn is the one item that you’ve been searching for everywhere but can’t seem to find in the pattern or size you want. My unicorn happens to be pink anchor leggings, but everyone has their own beloved unicorn that they’re in search for. You become so set on finding your unique that you feel no shame in joining hundreds of Lularoe Facebook groups just to get the best view of all the inventory.

Lularoe has helped empower individuals to feel beautiful in their own skin. With mottos of “I believe in you” and “You can do it”, one can’t help but feel the love each piece of clothing was made with. If you’re new to Lularoe, let me welcome you to your latest obsession. If you’re a seasoned veteran, I hope you’ve been able to find your unicorn! To find out more information about Lularoe visit www.lularoe.com or search “Lularoe” in your Facebook search bar. Happy shopping!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
