If you have ever gone shopping at Target, then you know how difficult and risky it is because you never know what you are going to leave the store with. There's just something about the place that makes you want everything. Maybe they have a secret way of displaying their items or laying out their stores, but for sure when I go to CVS Pharmacy or Walmart, I just don't feel the same urge to buy everything I see.

Honestly speaking, every time I go to Target, the same things always happen. Here's what I mean (and I used "Harry Potter" to make it more fun):
1. You
make a list of things you need so you don’t forget the reason why you needed to
go in the first place.

2. You
give yourself a talk to make sure you don’t steer away from the things you need
to the things you see and get distracted by in the store.

3. As
you’re driving in the parking lot, you try to dodge pedestrians as you wait for someone to open up a parking spot AND THEN SOMEONE ABSURDLY TRIES TO TAKE YOUR SPOT.

4. You
take a deep breath and prepare to make a beeline to the things you need and not
look at anything else.

5. Without
thinking, you grab a cart and then instantly regret it because it justifies
filling your cart with random things you don’t need.

6. You
stop at the dollar section because everything’s a dollar (or occasionally $3).
Five minutes later, you somehow managed to scrounge around and find $10 worth
of interesting finds.

7. You
have the longest journey to the [whatever items you need] aisle, making you
realize how unfortunate you are to have to cross through the entire store
because someone designed the layout so inconveniently. Why couldn’t they put
everything I needed at the front by the registers??? SMH

8. You
pass by the healthcare aisles and think to yourself: how nice it would be to
have a first aid kit at home. So you pick up band-aids and Neosporin.

9. Adjacent
to you is the stationary aisle and you decide that getting a combination
white board and bulletin board is exactly what you need, especially with the
new school year coming up and it's only $10. SCORE!!

10. You
see the college dorm section set up everywhere and part of you loves it and
part of you is thinking, “Ew, freshhhmen. Ugh.” And then you see a lamp that
matches your bedding and you think it’d be the cutest addition.

11. You fall in love with more and more things and you know you need to stop but can't.
![]()
12. You
finish making a circle around the store and you make it to the register. You have so many regrets as the cashier is scanning all of your items.
![]()
13. You leave the store scarred and you promise to never set foot in there again. But then you realize you didn’t even get what you needed.
![]()
But props to you, cause you made it out alive.
