Traveling To Long And Far Distances

Some people might think that traveling by bus is boring or a waste of money, but it's actually the opposite. Traveling by bus can save money, it helps people who don't have a vehicle, and it also provides another way of traveling if a person doesn't like air travel. It's also convenient for people who like to travel far distances without paying large amounts of money. Most buses that are Greyhounds have WIFI and they have outlets to charge electronics. Buses also make stops so their passengers can stretch and take breaks. I like traveling by bus but it's also because I do it very often.

Since I started college at Keystone, I've been taking buses back and forth between long breaks. Since I live five hours from Keystone and I don't have a car, riding a bus was my only option. The first time I rode a bus home, it was a little scary because I didn't know anyone on there. But it was a great way to make friends, especially since it was a long ride home. Since I've been riding buses home during breaks, I've been able to visit cities I wouldn't have gotten to if I didn't ride a bus. I've been to Pittsburgh, Scranton, Binghamton, Ithaca, Lancaster, and Buffalo.

I love to travel and to see new places I've never been to. One of my goals is to travel around the United States and the world. Buses travel long distances throughout the U.S. and to historic monuments. By traveling long distances from school, it gives me the opportunity to see big cities and go sightseeing. When traveling long distances, the seats are almost always comfortable especially when a person travels for eight hours in one day on one or two buses.

There are some negatives about bus traveling in my opinion. Some buses don't give you enough leg room when a person sits next to you. They also have small coaches instead of large ones to put someone's backpacks in. They have one bathroom on board but it's a little small for an adult to fit in. It can get claustrophobic in a bus also, especially if a large group of people are traveling together. There are more positives than negatives but for people who have never ridden a bus, these are things to think about.

I enjoy traveling by bus because it gives me a chance to make new friends and meet new people. I have traveled hours on end on a bus and enjoyed every minute of it. I've seen NFL football stadiums, baseball fields, important business buildings, and huge bridges and tunnels. It's also nice to see how different each city is compared to one another. I hope to get more traveling under my belt, but I look forward to traveling every chance I get. I encourage everyone to go sightseeing especially on a bus!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
