A Dozen Things That People Who Aren't Very Touchy-Feely Will Completely Relate To And Understand

Life as someone who's not a fan of physical contact is tough. Because physical contact is all around us.

Some of us, especially those of us that identify as introverts, have a hard time getting our points across due to that fact. There are some things that touchy-feely people take for granted, like cheek-kisses and public displays of affection, but…well, some of us don't feel the same way.

And these are 12 things that many non-touchy-feely people will be able to relate to and understand.

1. Hugs are a DEFIANT no, unless you are close with the person

This could be a family member, close friend or SO.

2.  You just honestly avoid physical contact, in general.

Especially around anyone you don't know

3.  When some one compliments you or shows you any affection, you don't have any idea how to respond

Thanks??

4. Alone time is a MUST.

Like a super must.

5. Cheering up people is hard for you

Most of the time its because hugging or touching are one of the results.

6. Greeting strangers (or anyone really) is SOOO stressful

What do you do?

7.PDA is another big NO

It's awkward to watch, and more awkward to partake in, especially around others.

8. If you have to be touchy-feely with someone, you get reluctant

9.  When do decide to hug someone its EXTRA special

10. Sometimes its hard to explain to people why you don't want them to touch you.

Especially, if they show their affection by being more physical.

11. There are a few people that know you are that particular about affection, and don't force it on you

And chances are they love you anyways (and are probably some of the only people you let anywhere near you).

12. When you are affectionate, its a big deal.

Like a really big deal.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
