Have you ever watched someone play with Barbies? Well if you haven't, "The Most Popular Girls In School" is an interesting take on playing with dolls. The adult humor, as well as the creative stop-motion editing, is a great laugh if you need something to binge watch. "The Most Popular Girls In School" has been online ever since I was in middle school and I've loved every bit of it since. With the new movie coming out, the world should be given a slight introduction to the Youtube series. If you haven't watched it, here are some characters you need to look out for, and if you have, I'm sure you'll agree with my selection.

10. Little Tanner Christiansen

“Hand, it owwer”- Little Tanner Christiansen

What the best thing about him? His speech impediment or was it the fact that he was a girl doll with all its hair cut off? Despite being in one episode, Little Tanner Christiansen trumped everyone else with his reluctance to pass up on Matthew Derringer’s Jiggly Puff card.

9. Cameron Van Buren- The Queen

The most popular girl in the Blue Valley District, and 2011 Overland Park Prom Queen, Cameron Van Buren has the power to make lunch ladies squeal and make her 29-year old ex-boyfriend cry with her beauty and demanding personality. She is Overland Park royalty, and she makes sure everyone knows.

But the real question is, why is Cameron still on campus if she’s already graduated?

8. Johnathan “Than” Getslinhaumer- The Loser

He tells everyone to call him “Than” and no one does. Johnathan is hands down the Least Popular boy in school. The whole football team hates him because he hangs out in the locker room and bothers them with his “cool guy” personality. Johnathan’s character is fun to laugh at and easily relatable for the awkward people out there. You’ll find yourself saying “me” whenever he says something stupid.

7. Matthew Derringer- The Gentleman

It is revealed to us during Episode 4, that Matthew Derringer has no genitals. Genitals or not, he is a gentleman. He’s the smoothest with the ladies and his voice is made of sweet molasses. His only downfall is he permanently made Shay Van Buren deaf in one ear with his prized hacky-sack in the third grade because of a Jiggly Puff card.

6. Brittany Matthews- The Angry Blonde

Brittany Matthews is probably the meanest in the whole series. She hates everyone. She’s wholesome- if you count her definition. She also broke up with her boyfriend because he likes "Gossip Girl" and only Rachel Tice likes "Gossip Girl" and Brittany hates her too. If her hair wasn’t so blonde it would be white because all she does is scream. She also has the best comebacks and lines in the entire series.

5. Shay Van Buren- Overland Park’s Disgraced Royalty

Despite being Cameron Van Buren’s little sister, Shay Van Buren has proved since the third grade that she would not be able to carry on her family’s legacy as being the most popular girl in school. She’s probably the unluckiest person on the list.

  • Her mom didn’t know how to cure her lice so she shaved her head.
  • She’s now “Gay” Van Buren.
  • She’s also deaf in one ear because of the hacky-sack incident.

4. Mackenzie Zales- Queen Bee

“Head-cheerleader, homecoming queen, part-time model” Who says you can’t do it all? Who says you can’t step on a few toes while doing so? Mackenzie Zales is ruthless. She learned the art of backstabbing in the third grade and hasn’t looked back since and loves the smell of sweet revenge, on Gay van Buren, that is. She definitely has her eyes on the prize. Also, she’s losing her hair because of stress, so her bald spot is prominent.

3. Rachel Tice- The Least Popular

Rachel Tice is probably the funniest character in the entire show, upon hearing her voice, there’s instant laughter. She loves "Gossip Girl" and "Pretty Little Liars". Also, she ate a roly-poly in the third grade, hence why she isn’t popular anymore.

2. Deandra- The New Girl

How does someone use the wrong bathroom and start a rivalry? Deandra just wanted to poop. She goes throughout the whole series just wanting to poop and eat. No one knows where she came from or what her last name is, she’s just the catalyst to the whole debacle that goes on in the series and she honestly doesn’t care, just feed her.

1. Trisha Capaletti- The Sidekick

Trisha is obviously the most simple-minded, but she is still the best in Overland Park. She always has to have the last word and she’s probably the only person with no enemies. Trisha's reactions and actions are so innocent. Well, except for Ashley Katchadorian, who was in charge of snacks instead of watching the door. There are guaranteed laughs with Trisha.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
