I’m a very emotional person. I cry ALL THE TIME. Over anything, really. Stress, happiness, anger, music, movies, TV shows, random videos on Facebook. Everyone knows that I am a crier.
The newly released season two of Stranger Things took a major toll on my emotions. We all knew this would be an emotional season since Eleven is missing in action and Will is struggling with post-effects of being stuck in the Upside Down, but I’m not sure we realized how emotional it would truly be.
I narrowed it down to the most emotional moments of season two (and the top moments that made you want to cry – or if you’re anything like me, shed some tears).
When Eleven tells Hopper that she hates him.
That entire scene was heartbreaking. The “I hate you!” was just icing on the cake.
When Nancy tells Steve their relationship is bullshit.
Whenever Will would have an episode.
When Eleven/Jane is communicating with her Mama and discovers her past.
The first scene of episode six.
…Just watch it, you’ll understand.
When Will doesn’t recognize Bob.
…Or Hopper.
Bob. Just… Bob.
When Eleven realizes she has to go back.
When Mike is talking to Will about the first time that they met.
“I just walked up to you and I asked, I asked if you wanted to be my friend. You said yes. It was the best thing I have ever done.”
When Mike and Eleven FINALLY reunite.
When Mike has a meltdown on Hopper.
When Hopper refers to himself as a “black hole."
“Sometimes I feel like I’m just some kind of black hole or something.” “Black hole?” “It’s a, it’s this thing in outer space. It sucks everything towards it and destroys it.”
When the Mind Flayer escapes Will.
When Hopper and Eleven hug after she pretty much saves the world.
“You did good, kid. You did so good.”
When Hopper gets a birth certificate for Eleven.
The last five minutes of the season.
...No, Mike. I am not okay.
Do yourself a favor and get binging on season two of Stranger Things. And if you haven’t watched season one yet, get binging on that too. Just make sure you have some tissues!
