There are more than 2 million apps in Apple's App Store and 3.8 million apps in Android's app stores. That's a lot of apps. With millions of choices, many of them free, it can be impossible to find apps you want. Below are 5 free apps I found in Apple's app store (many of which I believe are also available for Android users) that I absolutely love! They are puzzle and information based, so they're perfect for those of us who are nerdy.

1. Sudoku Mega Bundle

This is my favorite app. You can play over 80 different types of Sudoku! There are a seemingly infinite number of puzzles for each type of Sudoku and you can play four different difficulty levels for each. My favorite is "killer" Sudoku! You can play ordinary Sudoku, but if you love number puzzles, this app can introduce you to a ton of fun options.

2. Puzzledom

There are 15 different fun types of puzzles on this app! They aren't all number puzzles but they do have Sudoku. The app gives you a ton of very simple games to play for when you want mindless entertainment, but they also have a variety of challenging puzzles to really make you think! My favorite style is the plumber game where you turn pipes to get colored water from one place to another.

3. Duolingo

America stinks at being multilingual. Lots of European countries teach their kids three languages by the time they graduate high school, and we're rarely fluent in anything but English. Use Duolingo to teach yourself one of several different languages! Having a fluency or even just general practice in a second language looks fantastic on a job application and it makes travel easier! The app is great for beginners and more advanced students, you can take a placement test when you start a language or test out if you get to a section you know well!

4. TED

The TED app has a full archive of powerful and interesting TED talks. You can search by topic and add talks to your list to watch later. TED talks are an amazing mix of nerdy information and inspiration. They always teach me something and inspire me to do something with my life. The app is super simple to use, free, and awesome.

5. 1010!

1010! iPhone iPad puzzle game

It's like Tetris but slower! Basically, you place Tetris-style pieces on a 10x10 grid to try to fill in the board. When you fill in a row or column, it disappears. Your goal is to keep going as long as you can! It's simple but very fun and a great game for anyone who likes spatial puzzles. It's super addicting, so don't download it if you don't have time!

I am a big fan of puzzles and learning things, so these are some of my favorite apps! They're all free so enjoy!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. I mean, really, what's the point in entering a relationship with someone if you don't know whether or not you're compatible on a very basic level?

Consider these 21 questions to ask in the talking stage when getting to know that new guy or girl you just started talking to:

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
