Let's be real, Netflix is an obsession plaguing almost everyone across the world - at least for those of us who are college students. Almost anyone can sheepishly admit to binge watching an entire season in a day, or even cancelling plans to snuggle up and finish your favorite episode. However, Netflix has countless shows and movies in its stock, and a lot of these fantastic shows go unnoticed or totally unwatched by most. Here's a list of the top five shows Netflix has to offer:
1. "Bojack Horseman"
"Bojack Horseman," an animated comedy created by Raphael-Bob Waksberg, tells the story of a washed up actor humanoid horse who starred in an incredibly successful TV sitcom in the '80s called "Horsin' Around." Years later, the self-depreciating alcoholic Bojack (voiced by the gravelly and always hilarious Will Arnett) is trying to stage his comeback by planning a tell-all book. The show boasts an all-star voice cast (including Amy Sedaris, Aaron Paul, Alison Brie, and various other guest stars), a Christmas special, and hilarious and witty jokes around every corner. However, underneath all the jokes, the show actually explores some very deep issues of self-loathing and insecurity. Season two recently came out on July 17th, so it's definitely a show to keep your eye on!

2. "Portlandia"
The project of "Saturday Night Live" alum Fred Armisen and lead guitarist/singer of Sleater-Kinney's Carrie Brownstein, this satirical show takes a goofy but loving look at the residents of Portland, Oregon. The show consists of loosely generated sketches that eventually come together at a central plot point. Some particularly popular sketches done by Armisen and Brownstein include two women who own a feminist bookstore, a dumpster diving couple, and various misadventures of the mayor of Portland (played by the fantastic Kyle MacLachlan). The sketches are truly authentic and very witty, not to mention the show is full of fun and original music created by Armisen and Brownstein themselves.

3. "Twin Peaks"
The next show, "Twin Peaks," is a bit of throwback to the 1990s. Famous director David Lynch, who directed mystical and psychologically disturbing films like "Blue Velvet" and "Mulholland Drive," introduced a spooky murder mystery drama to cable tv in 1990. Twin Peaks is a fictional small town in Washington, and its also the place where popular teen Laura Palmer was brutally murdered. The series ultimately revolves around (the very dreamy) F.B.I Special Agent Dale Cooper (played by Kyle MacLachlan), his mission to solve Laura's murder and the kooky residents of Twin Peaks, all who seem to have some very shady double lives of their own. The show has some of the most original, wonderful characters probably ever on TV (my personal favorite, besides Cooper, is the Log Lady), and the second season poses a ton of plot twists in every episode. It'll inspire you to sit down with a "damn fine cup of coffee" and enjoy.

4. "Bob's Burgers"
Okay, granted, most people would not consider "Bob's Burgers" to be on this list. It's currently on a major cable network and always gets rave reviews and high ratings from critics. However, as someone who truly considers herself to be a real life Linda Belcher walking the streets, I love this show with all my heart and feel it deserves all the praise it gets and more. It revolves around the misadventures of Bob Belcher, owner of Bob's Burgers, his wife Linda and their three kids: Tina, Gene and Louise. The family dynamic is probably the best part about the entire show; the Belcher family truly loves each other. Unlike other animated comedies ("Family Guy," I'm looking at you), no one in the family is outwardly mean towards each other. They all love and support one another, and it's so refreshing to see. Also, Bob's burger puns in the restaurant are always on point.

5. "Freaks and Geeks"
"Freaks and Geeks," which was canceled after only 12 episodes in 2000, was the start of huge comedy careers for stars like Seth Rogen and James Franco. One of the first concepts from Judd Apatow, it features many of these famous stars in their first budding roles. The show revolves around teenage brother and sister Sam and Lindsay Weir, who are both navigating their way through high school, but in very different cliques. Lindsay's friends constitute the "freaks," and Sam's friends are the "geeks." It's interesting to watch a lot of stars we now know and love make their acting debuts, but the show also does a wonderful job of explaining how complex and difficult it is to be a kid in high school, and how much high school can suck without friends by your side.
