IUP has some seriously good edible options, but if you had to narrow it down to five....
1. Tres Amigos
To start off the list, Tres Amigos (which should be called “the Tequila place”). Tres mixes up the most delicious margaritas on campus. They also serve bottomless chips and salsa, and succulent chicken quesadillas. Their staff is swift and always quick to serve with a smile. Tres is without a doubt the best Mexican place on campus (and maybe the only one we really trust).
2. Romeos
It wouldn’t be right to depict Indiana’s most delectable options and not mention Romeos. Romeos is a pizza/Mediterranean kitchen and is truly a staple to IUP students. Some notable menu items include chicken parmesan sandwich, buffalo chicken spread and steak calzone. Whether it’s a late-night craving, or a hangover cure, Romeo’s ranch has healing properties.
3. Taze
Taze is one of IUP’s most eccentric eateries. The Mediterranean restaurant, which won a Trip Advisor’s 2015 Certificate of Excellence, brings creative menu options to the area such as cast-iron chorizo French fries, and steak bites with mushrooms. It’s a little bit on the pricier side, so it’s best for the once-a-semester treat for college students, but it is definitely a must.
4. Fortune Buffet
The Fortune Buffet is the premiere Chinese buffet in Indiana, PA. Fortune buffet trumps competition by offering hibachi, sushi, and endless options (like mac and cheese) for 10 dollars. You just can’t beat that. You can’t.
5. Tom's Pizza
Tom’s Pizza is a delicious Greek restaurant and pizzeria. They’ve also got some key late night special like a large pizza and breadsticks for $8 after 8 p.m. Totally friendly to the college budget and delicious.
