Everyone is always on the lookout for a new beauty vlogger to watch, whether we're looking for a new product review, or a tutorial for a smokey eye or a winged liner. I personally love watching Youtube videos to get new inspiration for my makeup looks. I have come up with a list of beauty vloggers to stay on the lookout for.

1. NikkieTutorials

Nikkie has been on Youtube since back in 2008. She is known for doing drastic looks and always having a blinding highlight! She also just launched a new collaboration with Ofra Cosmetics that has the whole internet buzzing. The Ofra x NikkieTutorials Collection retails for $79 and it comes with a highlighter called Everglow and three liquid lipsticks called Nude Potion, Coven and Spell. This makeup artist is doing big things and she started it all on Youtube. She is such a nice, down-to-earth person. Her nearly 7 million subscriber count hasn't changed her personality.

2. Jaclyn Hill

Jaclyn Hill has such an amazing energy. She is so hyped up in every single video she posts. If you ever need inspiration for a warm-tone smokey eye, Jaclyn's Youtube channel is where you should go. She married her husband Jon Hill in 2009 and occasionally he makes appearances on her channel. She also has two cute little puppies that sometimes make appearances. She has collaborated with many different companies as well including Morphe Brushes, Sigma and Gerard Cosmetics. She is very well known for the highlighter she created with them called Champagne Pop. Jaclyn is an OG on Youtube; she started when she was going from an emo girl to glam. She still has some of those character traits that will follow with her. She is so intelligent, and she is guaranteed to make you smile.

3. Desi Perkins

Desi is known for having the most flawless skin on the internet. I would highly recommend watching her if you have troubles with acne breakouts or skin issues, she has some awesome tips! She is also such a bubbly, sweet person and I personally love watching her Youtube videos. Desi also has one of the most-watched Halloween tutorials; she totally rocked it! She always has amazing tutorials that never disappoint. Desi has nearly 3 million subscribers, and she deserves every single one of them.

4. KathleenLights

Kathleen is known for being hilarious, and her makeup skills are phenomenal. I love watching her makeup videos, but she also has a series on her channel called KatChats. She and sometimes her friends will tell hilarious stories from all angles. They are always so funny. And she has Cuban descent so she is always talking with her Cuban-twang. She also does quite a bit of product reviews so if you are on the fence about a certain product, she most likely has a review of it. Her channel has 3 million subscribers and is continuing to grow. She just has such a great energy and glow. Would definitely recommend her channel!

5. Manny Mua

Manny is changing the makeup game for men. He is an absolutely handsome man, and he is very inspiring to men everywhere to try makeup. You can see his passion so clearly in his videos. He does have some emotional content on there, so beware! But his makeup skills are absolutely stunning and he does looks reviewing new palates and different foundations and things like that. He also has almost 3 million subscribers!

6. Lustre Lux

Her real name is Katy DeGroot, but she is well known as LustreLux on Youtube. She is one of Desi Perkins' best friends and she has about 1.7 million subscribers. She is so sweet and down-to-earth. She does makeup tutorials, reviews, haul videos and even her favorites videos!

7. Shani Grimmond

Shani is so beautiful and has a great smile! She does tons of makeup related things on her channel, but she also travels a lot too so she posts travel vlogs, which are quite a bit of fun to watch. She does quite a bit of tutorials on her channel, and most of the time she just wings them and they look amazing. Shani has about 1 million subscribers and just like all of these other Youtubers, she deserves each and every one of them.

8. Amanda Ensing

Amanda is awesome. I've been subscribed to her for years now. I love the makeup looks she posts, and I also follow her on Snapchat. She is so interactive with her fan base and I really love that. Amanda has about 938,000 subscribers on Youtube. I found her while looking for natural makeup looks and came across her "Netflix and chill" makeup look. After watching that video I subscribed. She is such a chill, down-to- earth and beautiful person. Would recommend.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
