1. Drink Bottled Cokes

Calling all fans of soda, pop, cola, or whatever you may call it, going to Belize without enjoying a ice cold, glass bottle of your favorite drink should be considered a crime. That's because these sodas are made with cane sugar versus the corn syrup recipe back home. It's a nice refreshing way to cool off while you're in the tropics. You'll also feel like you belong in a Coke commercial.

2. Snorkeling

Guys, I love the ocean. It's full of beautiful creatures and a great way to enjoy the is through snorkeling! Belize is home to the second largest coral reef. Which means lots of ocean life to enjoy. You can enjoy swimming with nurse sharks, sea turtles, sting rays, and a variety of fish. Just make sure to slather on the sunscreen; getting fried is not something I'd include on this list.

3. Fishing

So if you find yourself on the island of Ambergris Caye, you'll notice that fishing is a pretty big deal. It's the basis of the locals livelihood. And if you have never been fishing before, no sweat! The instructors will help guide you in order to reel in your catch. Who knows, you might even wind up with a barracuda on your line!

4. Eat authentic food

When in Belize, you must eat Belizean food. Trust me, you won't regret it! There is a great dish that even seafood haters will love. It's a wonderful chicken and rice dish called "stew chicken" that will have you licking your lips and begging for more.

5. Spend some time walking around

Haven't quite gotten your sea legs yet? No worries! There is plenty to see around the country of Belize, so take a day and enjoy touristy shops and sightseeing activities. Become acquainted with the culture. I personally enjoy looking at the different styles and colors of the buildings and comparing them with buildings back home, but there are plenty of ways to keep yourself entertained around Belize.

6. Take a ride in a tiny airplane

This could easily be really terrifying or really thrilling for you. From Belize City to the islands off of Belize, they have a small airplane service that has airplanes that can sit 14 people. That's right, you heard me, 14. If you're small, they'll even ask you to sit in the very back for weight distribution. If you can muster up the courage, It's actually a great way to see Belize. The visibility is greater and you can enjoy the view much better than a big jet.

Getting to travel to a foreign country is always a great experience. Belize is an amazing country filled with many wonders. If you ever get the opportunity to visit, definitely try and check off the things on this list!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
