Fall is here and there is so much to be excited for! Here are my top six favorite things about fall!

  1. Pumpkin- flavored EVERYTHING!! This is such an essential part of fall. That feeling when you get your first pumpkin spice latte of the season is the best feeling ever.
  2. When the temperature is just right for a comfy sweater. When the temperature is not too cold and not too hot and it is perfect for sweaters, boots, and a cup of tea in your hand.
  3. The red, orange, and yellow leaves that cover the trees. When you’re driving on the open road and you see the most beautiful colors in the trees and nature takes your breath away.
  4. Hayrides with your closest friends. One of the greatest things about fall is going to the local farm and riding in the hayride through the woods with your bestest friends. Something about being in a stack of hay really encapsulates fall.
  5. Picking out that most perfect pumpkin. I think everyone will agree that finding YOUR pumpkin is the greatest part of fall and it cannot get much better than that. You search and search for the perfectly shaped one that you can carve on Halloween.
  6. HALLOWEEN. Obviously every little kid loves Halloween but even the teenagers love it because who doesn’t free candy. The only thing that could be a turnoff would be the walking everywhere but you could bike or drive. It is still such a great holiday for dressing up and acting like a kid again.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
