Like any other college student, I spend most of my time watching Disney movies. Disney movies take care of my problems, they show me that life can be beautiful and that my problems are actually quite small. After spending my entire life watching Disney movies, I have hand-picked some of the best quotes from Disney movies that make college life easier for me, and hopefully for you.

"The past hurts. There is no way around that. But you have two options: learn from it or run from it."

I don't care how old I get, I will always be a little kid. Even now in college, my friends will call me to do something and I'll say that I can't because I'm coloring in my adult coloring book. What is the point in "adulting" if you can't have fun with the little things in life?

This quote is truer than true. The best people in life are bonkers. Have you ever noticed how you and your best friends are actually crazy around each other? It's because you know that you can be and there won't be any judgement. Find yourself a group of humans that are just as bonkers as you and live your life with them! Those humans are going to be the ones that will never leave your side.

There is just a certain kind of sadness that floats around your friend group when you all realize that you have to go home for summer break soon. It's three months without your people. Sure, you have all of your friends from back home that you can't wait to see. But going from seeing the same people every day, to seeing them maybe once or twice over summer can be scary and weird. But imagine how lucky you are that you have found those people. The ones that it physically hurts your heart to leave. Never let those people go, ever.

Who cares if you are a strange little human? I am, and I own it. The person that decides to be themselves, no matter what, is the most beautiful.

This one might be my favorite Disney quote ever. It takes the strongest person to take on the world and have courage. And the most beautiful soul can look past all of the evil in the world and be kind.

Do not ever forget your childhood. The things that we are taught at a young age are the things that we carry with us forever. I owe a lot of who I am to Disney movies. They have shown me how to be kind, brave, caring, strong, passionate, daring, and so much more. You are never too old to be a kid, and you are never too old for Disney.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
