I'm constantly discovering new music so my favorite songs change every day. However, these songs have helped me relax and the lyrics, as well as the beat of the music, have helped me to look back on my life. They range from upbeat songs that you can dance to anywhere to acoustic songs to more mellow, yet sad, songs.
1. "For Everything A Reason" - Carina Round
I found this song while watching season 1 of American Horror Story. I haven't gotten far in season one but so far it is a twisted series. This song suits the show perfectly. "For Everything A Reason," this line/title, in particular, I can agree with. I believe things can happen for a reason while others are without explanation.
This song is filled with the singers' hauntingly voice with multiple guitars are a perfect mix. It's good to listen to when you're sad with your headphones on while observing the world around you and pretending you're in a movie/tv show.
2. “Bitch” – Meredith Brooks
My friend told me about the show "Orphan Black" and it was about a mysterious girl named Sarah Manning who saw a girl commit suicide at a train station but to her surprise, that girl was a clone of her and secrets were unwinding.
This song can make you feel like a bad ass so if you need a confidence booster, this song is the way to go. The song is upbeat and in the rock genre.
3. “I Fall Apart” – Post Malone
I've listened to this song at least once each week. It's a sad song and I've felt like I wasn't good enough for anybody and I questioned if I was worthy of love. I'm not sure if I'll find someone who'll reciprocate their feelings but I'm certainly not going to dwell on it.
This song can touch your soul, it touched mine. Whenever I hear this song, I sing alone and I feel the words instead of just singing along. I will never get tired of this song.
4. “I Wished You Liked Girls” – Abbey Glover
Abbey Glover is a Youtuber and I absolutely love her voice. It's unique in a way plus I always love when people sing with an instrument. In her case, a ukulele.
Ever since I came out and had a crush on a girl, I always wished I could have a chance with them but it's fine because none of them swung that way or not to my knowledge anyway.
5. “She Likes Girls”- Metro Station
The first time I heard this song was when I saw a fan video of Camila Cabello and Lauren Jauregui possibly being an item. I think the fans called them Camren. This song is very upbeat and whenever I hear this song, I would always dance crazily.
