We can all relate.

Any fan of The Office looks forward to the moments when Michael Scott dresses up like one of his ~unique~ characters. Watching the show the other day made me realize just how relatable his countless altar-egos are. Here are my top 5 Michael Scott personas.

1. Michael Scarn

Let's be honest. Threat Level Midnight was the greatest piece of cinematography in our life time. If only I could see the movie all the way through. We've all wanted to be a spy at some point, and especially after we solve minor crimes like figuring out which roommate left their nasty take out in the den for 3 days or how to park without a pass on campus, we all channel our inner Michale Scarn.

2. Prison Mike

When we finally get out of a class that feels like a prison cell we tend to be a bit dramatic - just like Prison Mike. The worst part about the Haley Center is the dementors. Am I right or am I right?

3. Michael Klump

Michael Klump is all of us after we eat a little too much at the local Mexican restaurant. We've all been there. We feel like we've gained at least 20 pounds after consuming a quesadilla, rice, beans, and liquid gold (queso, that is). But let's all remember, no matter how bloated and terrible you feel, everyone around in that restaurant feels the same way and you can confidently say, "I am beautiful. They are beautiful. He is beautiful. That big fat pig is beautiful." Thanks for the encouragement, Mr. Klump.

4. Caleb Crawdad

I channel my inner Caleb Crawdad when I visit anywhere where people don't normally hear a southern accent. Sometimes you just have to milk that southern drawl for all it's worth. Can we all take a moment to remember that this episode ended in Michael, Dwight, and Andy in a standoff. Classic.

5. Date Mike

Date Mike is all of us when we're feeling a little too confident. Sometimes we need the extra confidence, but sometimes it might be a little much. No need for the alter-ego, people. Don't forget... Date Mike was no where to be found when the cute little lady from Nashua showed up in Scranton.

Honorable mentions: Michael the Magic, Blind Guy McSqueezy, Santa Bond, Mykonos and Carnac

No matter what altar-ego the beloved Michael Scott takes on, always keep in mind

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
