Top 5 Leonardo DiCaprio Movies, Based Entirely On Hotness

It finally happened. The day we had all been waiting for. No, Donald Trump did not withdraw his presidential campaign (but we can dream), Leonardo DiCaprio finally won an Oscar. Not just any Oscar, but Best Actor in a Leading Role. Arguably the best actor of our generation, he finally got the recognition he deserved. Despite him not winning an Oscar becoming a joke, it was about time he won. To celebrate my favorite actor of all time, I have compiled a list of his top five roles, based entirely on hotness.

5. Frank Abagnale Jr, "Catch Me If You Can" (2002)

Leo demonstrated his tendency to make an incredibly unlikable character likable in is portrayal of Frank Abagnale Jr, the ultimate teenage con man. It's literally impossible to take your eyes off the screen with his charm in this movie, it even makes you wonder if you would possibly fall for the scam.

4. Jay Gatsby, "The Great Gatsby" (2013)

Jay Gatsby is a character known for being overly romanticized, despite the entire nature of his character being a romantic dreamer. When I found out there was going to be a Great Gatsby remake and that Leo would be Gatsby, I jumped for joy, I honestly don't think anyone else had every single quality to nail a portrayal of one of the greatest characters in American literature.

3. Romeo Montague, "Romeo + Juliet" (1996)

Playing the most romantic character of all time as well as his boyish good looks (he was around 21 in this movie) landed Leo his heartthrob status. With classic Shakespeare lines to make any girl swoon, it is impossible not to fall in love with Leo's portrayal of Romeo.

2. Jordan Belfort, "Wolf Of Wall Street" (2013)

Like a fine wine, Leo just gets better with age. Leo somehow managed to make Jordan Belfort likable in his performance, partially because he was easy on the eyes. Despite being an all around bad person, we all fell in love with this character, simply because it was Leo.

1. Jack Dawson, "Titanic" (1997)

While his role as Romeo created his heartthrob status, his role as Jack Dawson permanently cemented the status. Jack Dawson is the classic attractive poor boy that is easy to fawn over, basically Prince Charming without money and power. With his irresistible charm and dreamy blue eyes, Jack Dawson is basically perfect. Due to the fact that literally every girl I grew up with had a hardcore crush on Jack, and that he is Leo's most iconic character, he easily snags the top spot on the list.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
