For years, Disneyland remains a popular park attraction for people all over the world. Disney has become a global franchise with a large fanbase. For its visitors, Disney may seem like a simple park attraction, but there are many hidden secrets that fans might not know of.

1.

Disneyland was created in 1955 and was the first Disney park to open by Walt Disney himself. He created a section of the park called Main Street U.S.A and added a secret apartment on the second floor of the "Fire House" building so that he and his family could look over the guests at the park. Even now there is a lamp that is lit every morning by the window of the apartment to show that Walt Disney's spirit will forever remain.

2.

One of the most popular attractions in Disneyland called It's a Small World was mysteriously shut down in 1999 due to a doll malfunction. A woman who was still on the ride managed to capture certain photographs of the attraction before she was escorted out with the rest of the visitors. In her pictures, a hung doll was revealed on the ceiling of the ride.

3.

The Haunted Mansion ride was seen as a spiritual ride to certain people and they would throw ashes of their deceased beloveds on to the ride. Disney employees would then stop the ride and vacuum the ashes. In addition, the line of the ride also contains a ring cemented on the ground. It is believed to belong to the widowed bride in the ride.

4.

As visitors enter the park they immediately get a sniff of the luxurious foods that disney provides. How is this so? Disney purposely pumps irresistible scents into its streets to lure visitors to their food products.

5.

There are underground secret tunnels that allow disney cast members to move about around the parks without being noticed by visitors. This is so that cast members working in sections Tomorrowland wont be seen in Frontierland. In addition it also provides a neat escape route for employees working as characters such as Mickey and Minnie to swap shifts with other employees.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
