Happy Spooky Season everyone! Halloween time is my favorite part of the year for so many reasons. It's finally cooling down, every single store you walk into has cobwebs and skeletons galore, and at any given moment Hocus Pocus is playing on at least 3 different TV channels. The best way to gear up for Halloween is to of course watch your fair share of spooky movies and tv shows, and thanks to my roommate Olivia's discovery, there's a whole treasure trove of free halloween movies at www.disneynow.com. So, I thought I'd countdown the best movies and tv episodes available for free on Disney Now
1. EVERY. SINGLE. HALLOWEENTOWN. MOVIE.
That's right folks. All four Halloweentown movies, nay, MASTERPIECES, are available for FREE on Disney Now. If Halloweentown was as important to your childhood as it was to mine, you'll know how amazing this news is. I also completely forgot the last movie is about when Marnie goes to college, so if you ever want to feel old just know that you're at the point in your life when you're the same age as the protagonist in one of your childhood classics. A bit sobering, isn't it?
2. Twitches AND Twitches Too!
Twitches is just one of those movies you completely forgot about and then feel awful you could forget something so iconic. Twitches follows two twin sisters (played by Tia and Tamera Mowry) who reunite on their 21st birthday and discover that they are, well, witches that are twins, so twitches. If you don't watch this movie for the plot, then watch it for the outfits: 2005 fashion was a national treasure.
3. Mom's Got A Date With A Vampire
The early 2000's was a great period for Disney Movies, as shown by the last two
entries on this list. This movie is yet another example of how cranking the DCOM Halloween movie business was back then. Another absolute classic, this is yet another binge-worthy movie perfect for Halloween.
4. Halloween Episodes of Suite Life of Zack and Cody
Halloween specials are always particularly memorable, not just because of the weird plot lines and the ridiculous amount of halloween puns, but sometimes they just flat out scarred you. One of these examples, or at least in my case, is "The Ghost of 613" episode of Suite Life of Zack and Cody. And what do you know, you can watch it for free now! The seance scene where Esteban gets "possessed" will always be creepy to me, no matter how old I am.
5. Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie
Ok so it's a bit of a stretch to consider this a true Halloween movie, but it's just too good to not put on here. I remember watching this movie for HOURS on Disney Channel, because I loved it that much. A definitely worthy addition to the Halloween binge list.
